The arrival of LIVE IN THE CLASSIC CITY is manna from heaven to the kind of jam-band enthusiasts who refer to String Cheese Incident simply as "String Cheese" and to these fellas as "Widespread." Like any jam band worth its salt, Widespread Panic's magic can only be fully experienced in a live setting, and the three-disc documentary of the band's 4/00 Atlanta show certainly does the trick on that score. Widespread Panic may not be the only band on the jam circuit to mix funk, rock, blues, and jazz, but these Southern boys do it with a hell of a lot more grit and less noodling than many of their contemporaries. Oh, and there's a drum solo.

I bought this cd set not knowing much about Widespread Panic. I am glad I did. The music on this 3-cd marathon set is fantastic!!! Every song is great and the jamming is fabulous. Do yourself a favor and buy it. You will not regret it. Great band....

What can you say about a live album from Widespread Panic? Pure Power. Widely considered the best live touring band around, this album only confirms Panic's position as the best concert ticket going. The selection of tracks on the album does well to cover there 17 year career. A must have.

the greatest panic songs all on one album, and live even, these guys know how to kick it live and hopefully they keep on doing that.

I bought this triple live cd without knowing anything about the band, just on a review I read. I gotta say I was absolutely blown away with the quality of the music and value for money. It has been an ever player in my hi-fi ever since.
There are probably 4 tracks that don't quite do it for me, but that still leaves 23 others that rate from good to freakin' brilliant !
Each cd is well over an hour long.
This is why I give it 5 stars, it just has so much to offer.
I absolutely love the feel to this cd, the singer's voice and Houser's beautiful meandering guitar breaks. I love my music and have many astoundingly good cds. This one is right at the top of the pile.
Favourite tracks are; I'm Not Alone, Stop And Go, Tall Boy, Worry and Let's Get The Show On The Road (amongst others).
