Willie Nelson Special film
$13.65 This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Personnel: Taylor Swift (vocals, guitar); Nathan Chapman (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, mandolin, keyboards); Bryan Sutton (acoustic guitar, mandolin); Grant Mickelson, Kenny Greenberg (electric guitar); Ilya Toshinsky (banjo); Claire Indie (cello); Tony Harrell (piano, Hammond b-3 organ, keyboards); Tim Lauer (keyboards); Eric Darken (vibraphone); Tim Marks, Amos Heller (bass guitar). Audio Mixer: Justin Niebank. Arranger: Jonathan Yudkin. Taylor Swift abandons any pretense that she's a teen on her second album, FEARLESS--which isn't to say that she suddenly tarts herself up, running away from her youth in a manner that's all too familiar to many teen stars. Swift's maturation is deliberate and careful, styled after the crossover country-pop of Shania Twain and Faith Hill before they turned into divas. Despite the success of her self-titled 2006 debut, there's nothing at all diva-like about Swift on FEARLESS: she's soft-spoken and considerate, a big sister instead of ...

| | Hard To Find 45'S On CD: Pop & Country Classics CD (2002)
Willie Nelson Special DVD
$13.69 Here's another high quality collection in the best-selling "Hard-To-Find" series, this time covering pop and country crossover hits (file under "oldies"!). 13 of the 21 tracks made the Pop Top 20 and 12 of them hit #1 on country charts, and ll but 5 trac
Includes liner notes by Greg Adams. All tracks have been digitally remastered. Liner Note Author: Greg Adams . The Hard to Find 45s on CD series is a very subjective -- and some would say guaranteed to start an argument or fight at your next party with loudmouth music freaks -- batch of compilation recordings that focuses on various aspects of genre-specific music and time periods. This set centers itself on country tunes that became crossover successes from the 1950s through the urban(e) cowboy era in 1982 and pop music that charted by country artists. Some tracks would have been impossible to exclude, such as Lefty Frizzell's number one country chart smash "Saginaw, Michigan," even if it scored a lowly number 85 on the pop chart. Same goes for Leroy Van Dyke's reading of Isaac Hayes' "Walk on By," which scored a number five in pop and didn't chart in the country Top 40, and Ferlin Husky's "Gone," which went to the top of the country list and scored a number four in pop. They are included as evidence of "marginal" crossovers and provided the template by which other recordings would be measured, recorded, and released -- at least in the singles and jukebox markets. But there are some forgotten ...
| | John Denver Definitive All-Time Greatest Hits CDs (2004) Bonus CD
Willie Nelson Special movie DVD
$9.69 Initials pressings include bonus disc. Personnel: John Denver (vocals, guitar); Emmylou Harris, Plácido Domingo (vocals). Audio Mixer: Chris Theis. Liner Note Authors: Milton Okun; David Wild. Recording information: Goldstar Recording Studios, Hollywood, CA (??/1966-04/1983). Photographer: Lowell Norman. Arrangers: John Denver; Milton Okun; Dick Kniss; Lee Holdridge; Mike Taylor . Placing the word definitive on a best-of collection is usually a panicked label attempt to fill last-minute Christmas stockings, but in the case of RCA's Definitive All-Time Greatest Hits John Denver retrospective, it's a truly apt description. Coinciding with the 35th anniversary of Denver's first album release on RCA, the two-disc, 24-track overview of the country-pop singer's storied career is the most concise and nuanced yet. Digitally remastered from the original master tapes, road-trip classics like "Take Me Home, Country Roads," "Rocky Mountain High," and "Back Home Again" are as warm as the singer's lauded tenor. There are no gimmicky re-recorded cuts or disappointing live tracks -- "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" spent its time on the charts in its live incarnation -- and his spotty '80s material is only briefly covered ("Perhaps Love" and "Shanghai ...
| | Alan Jackson Good Time CD (2008)
Willie Nelson Special video
$10.89 Alan Jackson: Brent Mason (acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar); Bruce Watkins (acoustic guitar, banjo); James Curtis Mitchell (electric guitar, accordion); Paul Franklin (steel guitar, lap steel guitar, dobro); Robbie Flint (lap steel guitar); Stuart Duncan (mandolin, fiddle); Jim Hoke (harmonica, accordion, Jew's harp); Gary Prim (piano, Wurlitzer piano, Clavinet, Hammond b-3 organ, keyboards); Hargus "Pig" Robbins (piano, Wurlitzer piano); Greenwood Hart, Shane Keister (vocoder); Glenn Worf (upright bass, bass guitar); Jimmy Carter (bass guitar); Eddie Bayers, Jr. (drums); Lucas Ketner (percussion); John A. Kelton. On his first traditional country album since 2004's WHAT I DO, Alan Jackson steps outside the comfortable routine he's created for himself in favor of creating a more personal and introspective work. The first album on which Jackson has written all of the songs all by himself, GOOD TIME is Jackson's most autobiographical album by some distance. "Small Town Southern Man" is a touching farewell to his late father, while "I Wish I Could Back Up" and "Never Loved Before" (a duet with country superstar Martina McBride) are intimate love songs more revealing than most country radio fare. GOOD TIME is true ...
