$14.65 Those with a short cultural memory say that Canada's Nickelback is reminiscent of power-rockers Creed. To the rest of the world, this means that they're influenced by grunge stalwarts Pearl Jam, which also means they're indebted to vintage alt rock and to '70s hard rock. All these sonic touchstones are readily apparent on THE STATE. The album ostensibly revolves around "Leader of Men," which garnered the most attention on the album's initial release, and which is reprised at the end of the album in an acoustic version just to drive the point home.
Anyone drawn in by that cut will find more to like here. The opening track "Breathe" finds Nickelback charging with full force straight out of the gate ...

$15.65 "How You Remind Me" was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Record Of The Year.
Nickelback are arguably the preeminent bastard children of '90s hard rock. On the Canadian band's sophomore effort, the songs will surely appeal to heavy rockers who were introduced to Metallica as shorthaired rock heroes. Simple, crunchy chord progressions (that insinuate themselves quickly into one's memory) are matched by emotionally charged lyrics on SILVER SIDE UP.
"Never Again" is a chilling description of domestic abuse from the victim's point of view. ...

| | Nickelback The Long Road CD (2003)
Curb songs
$15.65 Possessing one of the most powerful and distinctive voices in alternative rock, Chad Kroeger led Nickelback to the top of the post-grunge heap with a combination of Metallica-esque riffing and some of the hugest hooks this side of Nirvana. Riding on the massive radio success of the single "Someday," THE LONG ROAD delivers a collection of unusually well crafted lyrics swathed in an energetic blend of massive-sounding de-tuned guitars and rapid-fire vocal rhythms. Throughout, ...
| | Nickelback All The Right Reasons CD (2005)
Curb album
$14.79 As always, frontman Chad Kroeger's gritty voice remains Nickelback's calling card, and his emotive singing carries every tune, most notably the nostalgic "Photograph" and "Far Away," a tender, echo-laden ballad. Kroger has never met a guitar effect that he didn't like, as evidenced by the revved-up "Next Contestant," which relates the, ahem, difficulties of having ...

Curb songs
$11.39 Bedhead's first full length album, WHAT FUN LIFE WAS displays for the first time the influential songwriting and noise pop leanings that inspired a loyal following. Abandoning low-key guitars and country pinings, Bedhead opts for thick sonic layers and dynamic time changes, creating a delightfully cacophonous and melodic structure. The vocals ...

$13.15 HogTyeBoyz, these 5 artists form a very powerful and dynamic group of artists. The group consists of 3 original members. Supreme aka Eatavius Ferguson, Iceburg Trigarro aka David Porter, and Big Scoob aka Herman Harris met when they were younger. They soon started rapping together. Shortly after, they formed the group 'HogTyed'. Years later, HogTyed began recording for their first album 'We Been Here'. This project would allow HogTyed to bring in feature artists such as Tre Bezel and Rico Suave. After the new additions to the group, the artists decided to upgrade the name from 'HogTyed' to 'HogTyeBoyz'. These 5 Atlanta-based (born and raised in Atlanta, GA.) artists have many years of experience performing together, recording, and writing music. In the underground artists community, these artists have found great success in the music industry. The album 'We Been Here' consists of 16 gritty Southern Hip Hop tracks. These tracks feature vocals that take on social issues such as growing up in single-parent households, living in poverty-stricken communities, and growing up around drugs. Their lyrics paired with such masterful music engineering makes this album the next great album since the release of Dr. Dre's 'The Chronic' album. East Side Boyz, Down South Entertainment, ...
