 I've been waiting for years!
Finally, Koyaanisqatsi in DVD format! Now, the spectacular vidoegraphy and music (Philip Glass) are represented in the format that does them both justice. Besides, even used VHS versions have not been available for less than $40. lately. This purchase was truly a special event. It was as stunning as when I first saw the film back in the early 80's.

 A Seminal Film
Way back in the bleak early eighties, I saved up my wages for 4 weeks to go to the local cinema to see Koyaanisqatsi. It was well worth it and then some; this film colored my perceptions of Nature and Man ever after. To call it "naive" or "entertaining" is to miss the point entirely. This film was made by people who wanted to, just for a moment, pull the comfortable wool off from in front of our "civilized" eyes. I am very glad to see this important film available once again to the movie-buying public.
