Undernourished goth club kids are the focus of the film and they all look great with piercings, net t-shirts, tattoos, dyed hair, and dour facial expressions. The film follows the celebrity rock star Vampire Lestat (Stuart Townsend), who has emerged from 200 years of solitude to show his face--and his vampire powers--to the world. He has assembled a goth band, makes regular media appearances, and has enchanted the world with his otherworldly mystique. In addition, he has planned one of the most controversial publicity stunts of all eternity: he is holding a one-night rock concert in California's Death Valley, inviting all vampires young and old (along with his extensive fan-base of mortals) to join him. As a side bar to this activity, the mortal Jesse, a young woman who works for the Talamasca society studying paranormal occurrences, has found a secret portal to the vampire world: a London pub where vamps hang out. There she meets Lestat and is instantly smitten with him, insisting on travelling to Death Valley to see his concert. Also en route to the show is the sleek and sexy Egyptian mother of all vampires Queen Akasha (Aaliyah), who has recently arisen from a 2,000-year nap in order to unleash hell on earth. From a distance, a wise band of vampires watch telepathically as Akasha, Lestat, and Jesse converge in Death Valley. But what nobody knows is that the headstrong Lestat, who is the most impulsive and irresponsible of immortal beings but practically a god in the eyes of mortals, is the only one who can defeat Akasha and save the world.  Know your movie before you make it!
This movie was a HUGE let down, especially when compared to the books it was based on (The Vampire Lestat & Queen Of The Damned). The movie would have been so much better IF the makers of this film followed the books, in which there is a HUGE cult following. The second way they could have made it better is to follow from Interview With The Vampire (the movie), in case they didn't see it, Lestat had BLONDE hair!!! (Not Black) And Armand had LONG BLACK hair!!! (Not Blonde). Perhaps it was a simple mistake where the two actors simply grabed the wrong wigs! Overall a VERY dissapointing effort. SHAME ON YOU!

This is the best vampire around, she is beautiful very talented and have real good teeth. This film is worth seeing.

Vampire movie
Its a good vampire movie. Theres a lot of horror movies & monster movies made. If you liked Blade, Vampires, and Underworld then you'll like this one.

If your one who likes to keep with the book, this movie will piss u off.(Armand is blond!and Pandora is killed off!) So yes, the story line is butchered, but that 's what it takes to slam two huge books into a 2 hour movie. And considering all the RE-editing that had to be done after Alliyah's death,im supprised its not worse. But all in all it is good for what it is. Alliyah's portrayal of Akasha is flawless to say the least.(the bar scene rawked my socks) And Townsed nails Lestat in this phase of his "dark gift" and 2 killers soundtracks(the score is awesome) also help out alot. but the complete lack of the Egyptian lore and the Twins does grate my nerves a bit. But like i siad its good...for what it is!

In Anne Rice's book QUEEN OF THE DAMNED, recurring vampire character Lestadt awakes from a lengthy hibernation and proceeds to remake himself into a rock star of global proportions who ends up attracting the unwanted attentions of head vampire Queen Akasha. Although the late Aaliyah plays the title role in the film, the accompanying soundtrack contains nary a stitch of hip-hop or R&B, instead cleaving to the hard and heavy sounds conjured up by Korn's Jonathan Davis and ex-Oingo Boingo keyboardist Richard Gibbs. Due to contractual obligations, Davis was prevented from singing these songs, therefore the quintet of cuts composed by this duo are sung by an impressive array of talent from the nu-metal world.

LEGEND OF ZORRO: Catherine Zeta Jones captivated audiences and shot to stardom via her role as Elena in the 1998 take on the Zorro legend, MASK OF ZORRO. This sequel, set in 1850, finds her married to Alejandro, aka Zorro (Antonio Banderas, also returning to reprise his character from MASK OF ZORRO), demanding he stop all the derring-do and spend time with their smart-as-a-whip 10-year-old son, Joaquin (Adrian Alonso). The boy has some serious acrobatic skills, but is unaware of his father's secret identity. He can only look askance as his parents separate and Dad starts spending too much time with his hard-drinking horse, while Mom lets herself be wooed by the odious Count Armand (Rufus Sewell). It's up to little Zorro Joaquin to get to the bottom of things and get his folk-hero parents back into action.
Jones is a stunning sight in her elaborate lace-and-linen ensembles, and there's some complex DA VINCI CODE-style secret-society skullduggery, but otherwise this sequel has more in common with classic old Walt Disney comedies like THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG or Robert Rodiguez's SPY KIDS than with the 1998 movie. The swordfighting and death-defying action sequences are all totally bloodless, and director Martin Campbell--who also helmed the '98 film--keeps the dialogue very contemporary and child-friendly throughout.
