And when the saxophonist finally sidesteps the melody to vigorously expand upon the harmonic and rhythmic implications of the changes to "Autumn Serenade," one realizes that for John Coltrane, beauty was the sum total of his very existence. Its a rare piece of art at its best. Grab this album ....
It may not be John Coltrane's best but it wasnt meant to be focused entirely on Johnny either. The 2 legends in perfect balance here and i am sure with time you'll get addicted to this album. There quality of music is awe-inspiring... just grab it. you'll never regret or forget it on the rack....
