Quite popular in the mid-1980s, Dana Dane was one of hip-hop's greatest humorists. When other MCs were trying to show how tough and hardcore they could be, Dane usually went for more of a lighthearted approach. Though Dana Dane 4 Ever isn't quite as strong as the New Yorker's first album, the CD offers many examples of his witty storytelling. Especially amusing are the sexual escapades described on "Bedie Boo," "Tales From the Dane Side" and "What Dirty Minds You Have." Dane occasionally turns to more serious subject matter and takes a look at the dangers of urban life. "Johnny the Dipper," for example, examines the deadly consequences of a youth's life of crime. But on the whole, Dana Dane 4 Ever's tone is anything but serious. ~ Alex Henderson Dana Dane 4-Ever Songs | 1. | Dedication 2 |

| | Scarface Balls And My Word CD (2003)
Dana Dane 4-Ever CD music
$15.65 Even the most casual of rap fans will likely remember Scarface as one third of the Geto Boys, the Houston act who stirred up national controversy with the dark, graphic classic WE CAN'T BE STOPPED. However, the scope of his influence can easily be underestimated; more than just a part of a scene, he made a mark on wave after wave of Southern-fried platinum-selling movements from the No Limit Posse to the Screwed Up Klick (he even brought Ludacris to Def Jam). And that doesn't even touch on his prolific, respected career as a solo artist.
With BALLS AND MY WORLD, Scarface offers his trademark deliberate bass-heavy sound and uncompromising, scathing, raw lyrics. He has always been about as subtle as an anvil, and he outdoes himself on "Bitch Nigga," a thinly-veiled attack on 50 Cent that goes so far as to simulate the omnipresent beat of the Queens rapper's No. 1 crossover pop hit "In Da Club." Scarace somehow manages to put a new spin on the topic of money-seeking women on "Only Your Mother." However, the most remarkable track here is "Make Your Peace" which conjures up the creepiest, most alluring elements of the Geto Boys with ...
| | Cassidy Split Personality CD (2004)
Dana Dane 4-Ever music CDs
$8.49 Philly-native Cassidy earned his rep practically overnight when in a freestyle contest, he bested hometown hero Freeway, securing a deal with J Records. SPLIT PERSONALITY is the result of his meteoric rise and is more than just an album title; the fast-thinking Cassidy has literally split this disc into three mini-records featuring his varied personas: Cassidy (the lover), Tha Problem (the thug), and B. Reese (the philosopher). It's in the first guise that he collaborated with R. Kelly for his explosively catchy hit single "Hotel," which opens the Cassidy portion of the record.
In fact, it's as "himself" that Cassidy truly shines; "Hotel" has a pop hook and bedroom eyes, "Get No Better" possesses requisite swagger for the lothario don, and "Make U Scream" burns with overflowing raw sexuality. As B. Reese, he offers sharp-eyed street observations, ...
| | Carl Thomas Let's Talk About It CD (2004)
Dana Dane 4-Ever songs
$9.09 In 2000, Bad Boy workhorse Carl Thomas finally got his opportunity to shine on his own and made the most of it with a soulful, diverse record, EMOTIONAL, featuring the platinum single "I Wish." Four years later, the youthful R&B singer/songwriter builds on his debut with the rich, sultry LET'S TALK ABOUT IT, an album perfectly built around his elastic, alluring voice, exploring soul from many angles and eras.
There's plenty of radio-ready, new-school soul, such as "She Is" (which opens on an imperial rap from old pro LL Cool J) and the lushly orchestral bedroom track "Make It Alright." Thomas shows he can turn a larger-than-life pop hook on the Luther Vandross-channeling "Dreamer," and proves he can hang with the neo-soul crowd on poetic tracks like "But Me." The eccentric, acoustic-guitar-driven "Rebound" bears a subtle Latin beat and unpredictable but undeniably sweet melody. Thomas is capable of just about anything, and despite possessing a powerful voice, he knows the value of restraint. Thomas comes into his own with his genuinely romantic, artful second album.

| | Stuart Adamson Weekends Were Made For Living CD (2001)
Dana Dane 4-Ever songs
$18.99 "It's all about having fun"With his signature wild, curly hair and contagious grin, the music of Stuart Adamson reflects this philosophy. From the rockin', two steppers to the waltzing ballads, Stuart brings a smile to your face and leaves you wanting more. Although born in Ashville, NC, Stuart's honky-tonk, grab your partner, and dance with me sound reflects his family's original Texas roots. Raised mostly in San Antonio, Stuart's childhood was surrounded by the classical music his father loved. Later, his older brother and sister would bring home the Beatles, Herman's Hermits, Creedence Clearwater Revival and the Eagles, introducing a young Stuart to the music of the '60s and '70s.Stuart picked up his first guitar at age 10....it stuck. He paid his dues performing solo and in bands in spots all over San Antonio. Stuart began writing songs when he was in high school. In his words it "gave me a great way to talk to girls". About this same time, his perspective on music changed almost overnight. He was sitting at a friend's house when he heard Emmylou Harris for the first time. A major turning point, this swung open the door for Stuart to listen to many of the country singers that still inspire him and influence his music today.Stuart's first experience with professional musicians almost ended in disaster when, at 4 years old, he got thrown out of RCA Recording Studio B in Nashville. His father had taken him there with a family friend to drop off ...
