Les Negresses Vertes (which translates literally as "Green Blackladies") have captured the hearts of the Francophonic world since the late 1980's. Most of the amalgamation of players could barely play their instruments in the beginning, but have excelled at proficiency and continue to perfect their unique blend of latin, rai and folk music to the delight of their fans. This is the first collection of their best songs, and a generous one it is, with 19 great tracks. A perfect introduction for the uninitiated and wonderful treasure for all.
