Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Bio/Filmographies; Soundtrack English; Behind The Scenes Jenny Agutter, who played Bobbie in a 1970 film version, stars alongside Sir Richard Attenborough as Mother in this Masterpiece Theater presentation of Edith Nesbit's popular novel. Set in Yorkshire at the dawn of the 20th century, RAILWAY CHILDREN is the story of three children whose father has been wrongfully imprisoned for espionage, though they know nothing of this; their mother refuses to tell them why the police took away their father. So, the children spend their free time exploring the mystery of their father's disappearance and gazing at the nearby railroad in the hope that it will somehow bring them an answer. After they help prevent an accident on the railroad, the children are befriended by a mysterious old gentleman (Attenborough) who may be able to provide some answers.

| | Early Silent Classics Of Stan Laurel And Oiver Hardy Vol 3 DVD (2005)
Railway Children film
$7.49 This third collection of early silent films from the inimitable comic duo Laurel and Hardy spans nearly two decades worth of filmmaking. Beginning with 1924's "Short Kilts," we find the odd coupling having dinner with some friends. However, the events soon descend into slapstick farce when a game of musical chairs spiral out of control. "Smithy," also from 1924, sees Stan taking up a post-army career as a builder, with calamitous results! Two years later, the boys return for "Along Came Auntie," with a guest spot from Vivien Oakland. 1931's "The Stolen Jools" stars Laurel and Hardy as a pair of detectives, with an incredible array of Hollywood stars featuring in supporting roles. | | Shakespeare Lady DVD (2005)
Railway Children movie DVD
$10.15 THE DVD IS FORMATTED FOR USA AND CANADA. SEE IF YOU ARE ALSO COMPATIBLE IF OUTSIDE THESE AREAS.This is a DVD of a composition I wrote for Margaret Holloway, a homeless women who achieved a BA and MA from Bennington College and an MA from the Yale University School of Drama. She was stricken with a rare form of schizophrenia and has been homeless since. She performs her art on the streets of New Haven, CT. She is known by people in the community as "The Shakespeare Lady." Fifty percent of the profits will go directly to Margaret and twenty five percent of the profits will go to a homeless organization which we are now in the process of searching out. The DVD contains two versions of my composition "The Shakespeare Lady - song for Margaret." One with all footage of Margaret and the other with Margaret and band footage. There are also two raw street performances by Margaret of some classical drama pieces. Included on the DVD is a picture gallery. To this date we (members of the community) have had a fund raiser for Margaret where all the proceeds went directly to her. We are looking to have another, which may include help for other locals. At this time Margaret is in jeopardy of being imprisoned for being a public nuisance. I personally find this to be absurd. I hope ...
