One of many post-punk-influenced bands to emerge from New York City at the beginning of the new millennium, Liars announced their arrival with 2001's THEY THREW US ALL IN A TRENCH & STUCK A MONUMENT ON TOP. Revealing a penchant for Gang of Four angularity (as well as bizarre phrases) on the searing opening track, "Grown Men Don't Fall in the River, Just Like That," and the slinky "Nothing Is Ever Lost or Can Be Lost My Science Friend," the Williamsburg, Brooklyn-based group also shattered any thoughts of accessibility with TRENCH's 30-minute closer, "This Dust Makes Mud," a noisy drone piece sure to shake all but the most adventurous listeners.

Pinnacle Release... All time great
One of (if not) the greatest releases to come out of the revitalized post-punk scene in NYC. No filler on this album. Without a doubt one of the best albums of the 20th Century, right up there with Pop Group and This Heat.

yo, if you want some crazy noisy lo-fi dance-punk rock-funk you're coming to the right place. these guys are full of all that and more... disect the lyrics and you might just go insane....it rocks, have some fun and give this one a shot.

BIOGRAPHY OF SUPA-TIGHT A.K.A THA GIFTSUPA-TIGHT A.K.A THA GIFT, born (Ronald Lennear Jr.): is a native of Los Angeles, California. His parents relocated to Pomona, California to raise their son so that he would not be exposed to the horrific gang violence that escalated in the early 70’s. SUPA-TIGHT, who is known to have no gang affiliations is the oldest of three children and has always been a positive influence in his younger sibling and friend’s lives.
