Condition Red is the fourth full-length album by German band Iron Savior. The album finds the bandmembers staying quite close to their tried-and-true brand of power metal. Don't expect any drastic musical revelations here. However, don't expect to be bored either. They dish out the metal in a very entertaining manner. In short, the album rocks. It comes screaming in, and it is obvious quite early on that these guys really want to be Judas Priest at times. That said, they are a great substitute for that classic metal band when they put their minds to it, although guitarist/vocalist Piet Sielck is definitely no Rob Halford (who is, though?). For those who doubt the Priest-isms, please check out "Protector." They infuse the Priest textures with the more power metal vocals of groups like Manowar, though. They also throw in the neo-symphonic textures of groups like Helloween and Rhapsody. The limited-edition version of the CD includes a cover of (believe it or not) a Seal cut: "Crazy" may seem an unusual choice for a metal band, but Iron Savior makes the song its own, and puts in a very intriguing rendition. The album's lyrics for the most part continue the story of the Iron Savior (an original concept of the band and the source of its name), leading one to wonder whether there will ever be a conclusion. The overall effect of this disc is that it is a solid metal release that brings the Judas Priest sound into a more pure power metal vein. The album definitely has some strong material, but overall suffers a bit from a certain sameness and being a bit overlong. ~ Gary Hill
Japanese edition of the heavy metal act's fourth album includes one bonus track, 'Living After Midnight' (JudasPriest). 2002.
Iron Savior has always been cited as a Judas Priest-ian unit, and with the inclusion of the cover of J.P.'s "Living After Midnight" it's apparent that they're happy with the comparison. This 2002 set also features "Titans Of Our Time," "Protector," "Thunderbird," and "Crazy."
CD contains 1 bonus track.
Iron Savior: Kai Hansen (guitar); Thomas Stauch (drums); Piet Sielck.

$13.15 Historically, country music has always been about the country, hence the name, and the common man who worked hard to make a living from it. Its heroes were simple folk. They drove pickups, not Porsches, drank beer, not martinis, worked outside, not in a high rise. They worked hard, got married, most stayed married and they raised their kids to still say "Yes, sir" and "No, ma'am". And, they liked to kick back with their good friends after a long day, actually watch the sun go down and pick a little guitar.Somewhere along the way, country music began to change. It lost the ways of the common man. Maybe it was because those who were not from the country, admired its simplicity and honesty and wanted to adopt its lifestyle. Or maybe it was just man changing the course of nature. Boots became fancier and never got dirty, jeans got tighter, way too tight to actually work in, and the music became more focused on what sells and not on what really is. But, now there is a new troubadour for the common man, Brian Houser. ...

$12.39 When Alice Cooper received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on December 2, 2003, it was well deserved. The shock rocker's impact was enormous, and the list of artists he influenced is a very long one that ranges from Slayer, Blackie Lawless, Cradle of Filth, Death, and GWAR to Bauhaus, Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, and Nine Inch Nails. Cooper influenced hard rock, glam rock, and punk; he influenced death metal/black metal, doom metal, alternative rock, goth rock, grunge, and industrial. Hell, Cooper even managed to reach the jazz world; the late Carmen McRae recorded an unlikely version of "Only Women Bleed" in 1976. Thus, this Cooper tribute album could have come from a wide variety of sources; an all-goth, all-punk, or all-industrial tribute wouldn't have been inappropriate. But Welcome to the Nightmare: An All-Star Salute to Alice Cooper comes from the hard rock/metal side of things, and many of the artists paying tribute to the shock rock icon are veteran headbangers who ...

$14.79 INVERTED VALENTINE:The songs on "Inverted Valentine" cover a wide range of musical styles incoporating a variety of worldly musical instruments. From the Mariachi trumpet and Flamenco guitar of "Temptation"; to the stripped down Acoustic guitar and dark lonesome tone of the Mandocello on "Unrequited Love"; the songs manage to catch the listener's ear. Melodic hooks abound and a clear and concise message is delivered with well crafted, thought provoking lyrics. The songs of "Inverted Valentine" invite the listener to come in, experience the music and it's message, take something if you want, because brokenness needs to be shared. Songs the singer/songwriter Ward Hayden etched on paper when his heart found the way to his hand in tribute to urgency, impossibility and the ache behind a smile and humming guitar.BIOGRAPHY:Girls Guns & Glory is able to explore a variety of sonic directions under the guise of Americana. Their country twang mixed with genuine sentiment of rock and folk captures the attention of listeners who can appreciate catchy yet thoughtful tunes. Girls Guns & Glory formed in Scituate, Massachusetts in the winter of 2005 when former band-mates and high school friends, Ward Hayden (lead vocals/acoustic Guitar) and Bruce Beagley (Bass), teamed up to record Ward's original compositions. They entered Noise in the Attic Studio and began work on the GG&G debut album "Fireworks & Alcohol." The success of that release fueled the formation of a 5 piece lineup that began to work the New England club scene in earnest. ...
