Based on historian Stephen E. Ambrose's book of real-life accounts, BAND OF BROTHERS was executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, who worked together on SAVING PRIVATE RYAN. when i first saw a few episodes on hbo, i knew i had to have this in my collection. everything about it is near perfection. the story, the action, the production is impecable (million $ word). fans of history, ww2, us military a must have to your collection.

What can i say other than one of the best made for TV serials ever made! Outstanding young cast, superb direction and production values. Probably made with an unlimited budget but still episodes that make you want to follow the course of these guys from start to finish. And probably the best boxset you will ever purchase.

Faithful in spirit to Stephen Ambrose's book, and a good portrait of the camaraderie that develop between soldiers during war. An excellent means of illustrating the virtues of the "citizen soldier".
