Aftermath album for sale Product Description
Aftermath album for sale by Rolling Stones was released Aug 27, 2002 on the Abkco label. The Rolling Stones' first set of all-original material--a full two years after the Beatles had passed that milestone with A HARD DAY'S NIGHT--1966's AFTERMATH is arguably the Stones' first truly great album, as opposed to a selection of killer singles padded out with some forgettable filler. Not that the singles aren't killers; "Paint It Black" and "Under My Thumb" are two of the Stones' most inventive chart successes, their sitar and marimba touches showing that at least through 1966, the Stones were just as likely as the Beatles, Kinks or Who to release a single that sounded like nothing else on the radio. Aftermath CD music contains a single disc with 14 songs. ...See Full Description

Best rock album ever If you wouldn't know, you would believe this a compilation, kind of "the absolute best of the Rolling Stones". But no, this is a standard album. By Stephane (Fribourg, Switzerland)
Improved sound quality???? A very good album indeed which I already own on vinyl and the digitally remastered CD edition released by London/Decca in Europe in 1985 (I think)I also bought the new remastered/SACD version but I'm not very impressed with the sound quality. By a reviewer (Sweden)
Improved sound quality Better sound quality is the reason to buy this album. Songs are a combination of songs from the U.S. album "Aftermath" plus from the album "Flowers". By a reviewer (Minneapolis, Mn)
a watershed Contrary to most people I prefer the Us version, but when I got this first it was the UK one and I was knocked out. By hans altena (HOLLAND)
Early Stones blues. A top, well recorded experiment in American Blues. This was a period when Richards and Jager were, seriously into blues. Especially Richards with his habit. By web462 (Westland, MI, USA)
