UFO: Phil Mogg (vocals); Michael Schenker (guitar); Pete Way (bass guitar); Aynsley Dunbar (drums). Additional personnel: Mike Varney (guitar); Kevin Carlson (keyboards); Jesse Bradman, Luis Maldonado (background vocals). Much to the delight of old-school headbangers, the classic lineup of one of the great (yet usually underappreciated) bands of the '70s, UFO, regrouped in 1993. UFO's first new record since reuniting, 1995's Walk On Water, saw the quintet pick up exactly where it left off, not altering its formula much at all. The reunion (or at least the team of Phil Mogg and Michael Schenker) remained together for several albums afterwards, including 2000's Covenant and 2002's Sharks. The latter release sees bassist Pete Way return to the fold and, unsurprisingly, "the song remains the same." The boys can still lay down a hard-rocking thumper with no problem (albeit in more of an obviously Bad Company-like style), especially on such standouts as "Serenity" and "Fighting Man." But few tracks here approach the magnitude of, say, Lights Out or Obsession -- something that the aforementioned Walk On Water surprisingly did. ~ Greg Prato U F O Sharks Songs | 1. | Outlaw Man |

| Sharks Music Review Average Rating: (3.9 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Should have been better I dont know what to make of this cd. I was hoping for a great return to form from the boys and Michael Schenker. It just does not sound like he put 100% into this cd. Must be saving himself for his solo stuff. He is having financial troubles and god knows what else. Hope he pulls it together for his own sake. Such a waste of a great talent. Submitted by a reviewer (Mesa, Arizona) Was This Review Helpful? Bring back the Old Crew Suggestions to UFO.
1-Bring back Paul Raymond or Neil Carter.
2-Pete Way, start writing songs again please because Schenker is holding back.
3-Get rid of Mike Varney and bring back Ron Nevison please!
Every since this producer's been involved with this band, he's bringing it down.
Totally dissapointed in this cd. Buy only if you are a hardcore UFO for the few seconds of "godness" otherwise, skip it. Better to spend your money on TOO HOT TO HANDLE, THE UFO STORY on DVD format.

Better Than Expected Outstanding! A bit surprised, though these musicians have been some of the best of yesteryear. These old fuddy duddies really know how to rock. Look forward to their tour. Last seen at the Palladium, NYC, oh maybe 78 or 79? They brought the roof down. Second album now with virtuosoe Ansly Dunbar. Adds an unbreakable backbone to the band. This man really knows how to get a drum kit moving. Parrelels that of the late Cozy Powell or Niel Piert. A must buy, you won't be disappointed, unless you prefered the AMS (After Michael Schenker) UFO. My opinion, w/o Mike, the band never really was the true UFO. Enjoy!

Sharks Are Still Feeding This is the 3rd release since the"Walk On Water"Release in 95 by the reformed "UFO"."Outlaw Man" starts this CD off, which is a for sure concert song in my mind.Michael(Schenker)Guitars, playing some slide guitar which I have never heard before."Quicksilver Rider" is next and is a very good song,Phil(Mogg)vocals,is singing well."Serenity" follows and is a little like "Serenade" off of "Covenant"but with some harder riffs in the verses."Deadman Walking"is a classic UFO song."Shadow Dancer"is next and Michael just keeps coming up the Riffs.
"Someones Gonna Have to Pay" starts off with Pete(Way)Bassand Ansley(Dunbar)drums then Michael kicks in with yet another riff. This is a song about needing a New Revolution for Rock Music."Sea Of Faith" is a very good song with a mid pace beat with some Acoustic guitar filling up in between the verses.Next track is "Fighting Man",raising the torch
of the Band.
"Perfect View"starts off with that classic Schenker guitar sound.Next song is "Crossing Over"which defines this whole CD compared to the last 2 releases. There is a Michael instrumental titled "Hawaii" that ends "Sharks" which last 44 seconds, sounds like Michael is dreaming of being in Hawaii.Overall this is a very good CD,little different song structure and sound then the previous 2,but still worth it.Beware of Sharks.

Paul Raymond is sadly missed! There is a key element of UFO missing which shows on this disc, that element is Mr. Paul Raymond. The songs are OK, but I found this CD difficult to get through. The production is a bit strange too, Phil vocals are way out in front, everyone else seems a bit lost, except Mr. Schenker. This one cannot compare to the Walk on Water reunion, which was wonderful.
