Standard Screen; Soundtrack English; Dolby Digital 5.1 Re In 1985, Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp organized the original Farm Aid, a benefit concert for the United States's beleaguered family farms that raised the public's awareness of the issue. Still going strong in 2001, this year's Farm Aid took on an added poignancy when its date fell on September 29, 2001, just 18 days after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. This emotional concert features performances from The Doobie Brothers, Dave Matthews, Mr. Mellencamp, Mr. Nelson, and many others. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this video goes to Farm Aid to help support America's struggling family farms. After the dark and chilling themes of 2006's BLACK CADILLAC, which saw Rosanne Cash dealing with the deaths of her mother, Vivian Liberto, her father, Johnny Cash, and her stepmother, June Carter Cash -- all of whom passed within a two-year span -- one might assume that her next project would move into an even deeper level of bleakness, but with THE LIST, it's immediately clear that she has instead found a more measured place to stand. ...

Concert For America/Farm Aid video
$6.79 Righteous Brothers: Bill Medley, Bobby Hatfield. Liner Note Author: Dave Thompson . Photographer: Curt Gunther-Topix. Arrangers: Bill Baker; Gene Page; Jack Nitzsche; Michael Omartian; Perry Botkin, Jr. In the early and mid-1960s, there were few duos more soulful than the Righteous Brothers. With their desperately impassioned R&B style, the blue-eyed Southern Californians crossed barriers of time, place, and audience. "Brothers" Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield joined forces with legendary "Wall of Sound" producer Phil Spector, resulting in one the greatest, most enduring hits ever, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling." The Brothers continued to combine their distinctive vocals with dense, emotionally dramatic musical backgrounds, resulting in a clutch of soul/pop 1960s classics many of which are contained here, including "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration" and, of course, ...

This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Like no Nashville-based female singer since Mary Chapin Carpenter, Taylor Swift brings a charming folkie singer-songwriter quality to her self-titled debut album. Writing or co-writing all 11 songs, including the giddy debut single "Tim McGraw," Swift favors crisp acoustic guitars over weepy pedal steels, and the overall vibe of the album evokes vintage ...
