| | John & Yoko's Year Of Peace DVD Yoko Ono CDS
The year: 1969. Headlines blare war and civil unrest while John Lennon and Yoko Ono are in love. The eccentic rock #n' roll couple has just gotten married, and more than happy to be together, they want to change the world. Lying in a hotel bed surrounded by journalists, they announce their mission for peace and invite the rest of the world to symbolically climb into bed with them and share their dream. People call them silly, naive, even ridiculous, yet one famous couple's bed-in spread new hope that there really could be an end to war, hate and violence. Here is rare footage from that amazing time, including footage from John and Yoko's wedding and more! JOHN & YOKO'S YEAR OF PEACE takes a look back at the summer of 1969 and the marriage of John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Instead of going on a secluded honeymoon (which would have been swamped by reporters anyway), they decided to hold a year-long public honeymoon (or "bed-in") in their hotel bed to promote the idea of world peace. Included in this video is footage of John and Yoko in their pajamas meeting Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, media expert Marshall McLuhan, and the very antagonistic cartoonist Al Capp. John & Yoko's Year Of Peace | List Price | $9.99 (You save $1.54) | | Studio | Image Entertainment | | Orig Year | 2000 | | All Time Sales Rank | 61639 | | CD Universe Part number | 4941354 | | Catalog number | 1785 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Sep 17, 2002 | | Rating | Not Rated | | Also Known As | John and Yoko's Year of Peace | | Running Time | 52 Minutes | | Movie Details | Color; Mono Sound; Digital Sound |

John & Yoko's Year Of Peace DVD
$17.89 Dick Cavett's 1960s and '70s late-night talk show retains an esteemed spot in the annals of television history for an extraordinary series of guest appearances by some of the era's greatest rock musicians. Among the show's most memorable musical guests were John Lennon and Yoko Ono, who appeared on three episodes and rewarded Cavett's wit and intelligence with a rare live performance and one of their most candid and sincere interviews ever captured on film.
Airing on September 11, 1971, John and Yoko's first Cavett appearance was historic for being Lennon's first on-camera interview since the Beatles' breakup. Even more remarkably, the trio's conversation was so engrossing that it continued well past the episode's time limit, prompting Cavett to assemble the extra footage into a separate episode aired two weeks later on September 24. The couple returned for a third, this time musical, appearance on May 12, 1972, offering electrifying live performances of John's "Woman is the Nigger of the World" and Yoko's "We're All Water" with the backing of New York band Elephant's Memory. ...
