Her music reflects the balance of having been born in Mexico and living most of her life in the United States. Her true desire is for her to convey that passion and to connect in a very intimate way to every person who listens to her music or sees her perform.At the age of fourteen Luz was touring with her brother's band singing lead vocals and playing drums in nightclubs throughout the United States. She evolved to writing her own material and eventually embarking on her own solo career which led to developing her own musical style. She is just as comfortable singing with a mariachi group as she is performing with a full blown rock group behind her. This is a reflection of her eclectic taste in music that ranges from soft pop guitar to pulsating rhythmic dance music. Luz’s previous albums “Ayer Hoy Y Siempre†and “De Mi Corazon†are an exhilarating collection of pop ballads, boleros that shift easily between Mexican regional styles like cumbia, ranchera, as well as incorporating a little salsa, samba and even rock and roll.Recently, Luz was considered for Latin Grammy nominations in five differentcategories. Her last two singles “Enamorada†and “LLamame†are still receiving airplay on Latin Radio. In addition, she has also appeared on several local and national television shows including Despierta America, Escandalo TV, Cada Dia con Maria Antonieta, Tu Desayuno Alegre, Mex to the Max.
