The gender-bending KINSEY SICKS have been called "gut-wrenchingly funny" (The Advocate) and have been praised for their "voices sweet as birdsong" (New York Times). Their repertoire -- in styles ranging from Motown to madrigal -- includes hilarious original songs as well as truly wicked parodies addressing American political, social and sexual realities. In 2001 they starred in the hit Off-Broadway show, "Dragapella Starring the Kinsey Sicks" at New York's legendary Studio 54.The critics rave:"The hottest ticket in town." (New York Times)"Get thyself to Dragapella! Four fabulous a cappella singers." (Liz Smith)"Endlessly amusing." (Billboard Magazine)"Fantastic foursome...pitch-perfect performances. Kinsey Sicks is Dame Edna times four." (AOL Digital City)"Gorgeous voices...near-genius lyrical rediscoveries of old and contemporary hits. Their numbers are so funny you don't even notice the beauty of their harmonizing." (San Francisco Citysearch/ABC 7)"The Sicks are a unique and exhilarating experience that is on a fast track to stardom. Over the top personalities, flamboyant showmanship, and music so good it takes your breath away." (In News Weekly - Boston)"One of the most original singing groups in history! Beautiful songs...hilarious...terrific!" (Oakland Tribune)

$9.29 Composer Frank Wildhorn and lyricist Nan Knighton's The Scarlet Pimpernel began as a 1992 concept album dominated by singer Linda Eder, whose duet with Peabo Bryson on "You Are My Home" was a minor adult contemporary chart entry. Much retooled, a Broadway production opened on November 9, 1997, starring Douglas Sills in the title role, with Christine Andreas as the female lead, Marguerite, and Terrence Mann as the villain, Chauvelin. Reviews were devastating, but a cast album was released in February 1998, and despite posting substantial losses each week, ...

$12.85 Celi Bee is another of the disco-era's underrated icons. Though both parents from Puerto Rico, Celi was born in NYC, and at a very early age moved to Puerto Rico. There she met Pepe Luis Soto who would become her husband, mentor and catalyst to stardom. Having had several latin album releases and decent success during the 60’s and 70’s, Celi released her first single, Half A Love. A huge hit in Puerto Rico and it had marginal success in England and Ireland. Earlier English language recordings released on the Borinquen label, failed to attract attention. However with "Half A Love" the transformation from latin popstress to disco diva began.By 1977 producer Pepe Luis Soto had already scored success with the emerging disco club scene under the name Rice & Beans Orchestra. It was then that he and then wife Celi, released the 6 track self titled album Celi Bee & The Buzzy Bunch. As a matter of fact, The Buzzy Bunch was actually nothing more than Pepe and the studio musicians on the first album. With international success of both "Superman" (later on recorded by Herbie Mann) and "One Love", the buzz was about to spread like wildfire.1978 the Alternating Currents album is released. First 12" single "Macho (A Real, Real One)" was once more an international hit for Celi Bee. "Hold Your Horses, Babe" and the title track were also played in ...
