Anna (Natasha Henstridge), a schoolteacher, and Charlie (Michael Vartan), a New York policeman, are getting married--to other people. They meet when their respective fiancees are out of town and go about planning their weddings together. When they find themselves attracted to each other in a way which interferes with their happiness at the prospect of being married, they must reevaluate their plans for the future.
