||AH! TO BE YOUNG AGAIN !!!!|
I can't begin to count how many vinal copies I wore out of this album. When I went to high school, EVERYONE had the same 3 records: "Closer To Home", Santana's "Abraxix", and Chicago 1.

||GRAND FUNKS' SIGNATURE ALBUM|
every great band has that one special album where it assures you that they have arrived. that album would be "closer to home" for GFR.

Not only is the sound quality good, but the track "I'm Your Captain/Closer to Home" brings back a lot of memories from the summer of 1970.

||I Think I'm 20 Again!|
Some of the Greatest rock of all time. I thought I was at the first concert again with all the sound and could almost smell it.

||The best of the first three albums.|
Closer to Home is the best produced album of the three first from the power trio. Trouble is Mark Farner started learning how to play keyboards in the recording studio! He made out of "Mean Mistreater" a very hard to swallow track (Craig Frost, where were you?).
