Nuclear Cowboy songs Product Information
Nuclear Cowboy album for sale by John Sykes was released Feb 27, 2007 on the Pro Rock Productions label. Best known as the guitarist for Thin Lizzy and Whitesnake (and to a lesser degree, Blue Murder), John Sykes has also managed to issue sporadic solo albums throughout the years. The early 21st century saw Sykes keep a pretty tight schedule (as he was steadily on the road with a reconstructed version of Thin Lizzy), and somehow still find the time to issue 2003's Nuclear Cowboy. ...See Full Description

This is by far the best complete album by John Sykes. As a guitar teacher for 25+ years and a touring musician this is definitely in my top 50 all time albums.

||What the heck is this?|
I'm all for trying new things, but this is a piece of junk - do not waste your money thinking that this is a typical Sykes/Blue Murder album - it should come with a warning label! I tried listening to this a second time, but just couldn't get thru it - the solos are even bad - C'mon John, get back to the Blue Murder stuff - this is a FAILED experiment.

||Pretty Damned Impressive, John.|
The last thing I heard of John Sykes was 'Nothin' But Trouble' from 1993... This is a nice step forward in style & intensity (although I loved the latter); Sykes has gone in for a cool mix of programming & loops alongside the live band setup. It's really quite heavy too, both musically and lyrically (he seems very keen on the devil on this record for some reason, then chucks in God on the only ballad toward the end... ).

||A great album|
Nuclear Cowboy is amazing album. John did great guitar solos and unbelievable guitar riffs. Evertthing is so powerful that it makes you wanna jump around all the time and on some songs smash things! :-) Also there is a beautiful ballad, completley in Sykes style "I wish it would rain" and "Talkin' 'bout love" which is filled with pain and kind of anger and I just love it.
