Lost Tapes album for sale Product Description
Lost Tapes album for sale by Nas was released Sep 24, 2002 on the Columbia label. With I AM and STILLMATIC, Nas assured himself a permanent place in the history of hip-hop. The release of THE LOST TAPES, a collection of previously unreleased cuts recorded at those legendary sessions, adds to this considerable legacy. | A Must Buy.! Not just for Nas fans. But to all fans who love that pure East Coast hip hop of back in the day, this is it right here. This isn't none of that watered down commercial music we've been hearing for a long time now. This is true hip hop. The best songs are "Doo Rags", "Nothing Lasts Forever", "Purple" and "Drunk By Myself". In reality, there is not one wack track. BUY IT!!.. By a reviewer (Puerto Rico) |
better than stillmatic These songs didn't make the cut for Stillmatic? That doesn't make sense, anyway this is nas's second best cd behing you know what... I like tracks 1 through 12. By halvorsen99 (Roseville, MN, USA)
Lyrical King is Back This is some of Nas's best work on this CD. "U Gotta Love It" is the best song 2 me. If you're a true nas fan like me you'll pick it up no matter what. By a reviewer (Louisville, Ky)
This cd is the hottest of any other cd out right now 10 tracks By a reviewer (Orlando, Fl)
Nas is a phenomenon! This album is definitely not one of his best albums (better than 'I am' though). Lyrically this album is worth maybe six stars but sometimes the beats are a bit poor. My favorite tracks were 'Blaze a 50', 'Doo rags', 'Purple' and maybe one of Nas' best songs ever 'Black zombies'. That song is produced by Hill, Inc. just like 'Purple', but it never appeared on one of his 'normal' albums (all the songs on 'The Lost Tapes' are songs that didn't make it on his album's tracklist). 'Black zombies' is just wonderful. His lyrical quality is a definite state of art. Prophetic! If you just listen to 'Purple', 'Blaze a 50' ('Shine like Las Vegas!'; sick!) and 'Doo rags'. Just buy it. If you don't have a special place in your heart for Nas you'll have to consider you want to spend that money, but if you love Nas you'll love him more and then he proves to you he's the true king of New York (though 'Reasonable doubt's a straight-classic). Nas, luv u, man By kim (amsterdam)
