Divine Operating System Music Supreme Beings Of Leisure Divine Operating System Songs Divine Operating System Music Review Average Rating: (2.5 out of 5 stars) SPoL changing costume I agree with most reviewers out there that this effort by SPoL is more into dance not, however, completely forgetting to bring with the innovative trippy soundscape that was omnipresent in their debut album. You need to note that SPoL is on this, and the following album 11i, reduced to the two core members Sakurai and Soriano-Lightwood. The risk of running out of ideas is high, as evidenced in 11i, which, on my scale, is 3 stars. This 'decline' in musical innovation is reflected in my 'best trips of SPoL' mix: Never the Same, Last Girl on Earth, Ghetto, The Light, Touch Me, Truth from Fiction, Calamity Jane, This World, What's the deal,Good, So Much More, Under the Gun, Freezer, Sublime, Everywhere.

Too cool for you! With sounds straight out of a James Bond movie theme, these hipters provide the perfect musical backdrop to your next cocktail party!! You might describe this as a more upbeat Portishead-like groove, with tasty lounge trimmings...can you dig it? Submitted by a reviewer (Corona, CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
what happened This band lost all the flavor it once had, I really enjoyed the first record, but was disappointed by the disco that has taken over this band. They used to be cool with tripnotic grooves,Now they sound like a bad 70's cover band.

| | Morcheeba Charango CD (2002) Enhanced CD
Divine Operating System CD music
$9.29 Additional personnel includes: Pace Won, Slick Rick, Kurt Wagner, Miriam Stockley, Michael Dove (vocals); Samantha Rowe (cello); Ruth Hammond (flute, saxophone); Debbie Cole (flute); Dan Goldman (keyboards); Richard Harrison, Pino Palladino, Steve Gordon (bass); Miles Bould (percussion).
Fragments of Freedom was released in 2000 and not received very well. If critics and fans would have been able to gaze into a crystal ball a couple of years in the future, they would have understood. With the benefit of hindsight, consider Fragments the prototypically disjointed transitional record that saw Morcheeba shifting focus from trip-hop to a more well-rounded mix, as Charango completes the journey ...

| | Ivy Guestroom CD (2002)
Divine Operating System songs
$12.95 Ivy made an interesting move when they released the all-covers album Guestroom in fall 2002. It's an eclectic collection of songs -- an intriguing but differing mix of genre and time. But Ivy makes things work brilliantly; smart songwriting with ever-changing moods has always marked Ivy's artsy, melodic measure. So basically, Guestroom is an added bonus for new and old fans alike. Most anyone will appreciate Dominique Durand's wispy, warm vocals and the intricate musicianship of Adam Schlesinger and Andy Chase. Cult classics such as the Cure's "Let's Go to Bed" and House of Love's "I Don't Know Why I Love You" are divine picks from Ivy, particularly the latter ...
| | Porcupine Tree In Absentia CD (2002)
Divine Operating System album
$8.55 There's a breed of (post-1980s) bands with the same degree of grand rock experimentalism as Pink Floyd and Yes, who simultaneously adhere to the concept of concise songwriting. Porcupine Tree is one such band--their sound is a balance of lush ambient textures, charming vocal harmonies, rock & roll directness, and acoustically- and electronically-generated sounds. Their debut ...
| | Thievery Corporation Richest Man In Babylon CD (2002)
Divine Operating System CD music
$13.05 Eric Hilton and Rob Garza, the Washington, D.C. duo better known as Thievery Corporation, continue to refine their previously established style on THE RICHEST MAN IN BABYLON. For their third proper album of new material, they continue to mine a mellow electronica groove with jazz, pop, and world music flavorings mixed in among the expected reggae, soul, and funk elements. The title tune and "The State of the Union" focus heavily on the reggae aspects of Thievery Corporation's sound, while "Liberation Front" bears ...
| | Showaddywaddy Step Two CD (1975) (Import) United Kingdom
Divine Operating System music CDs
