Cheap Drunk: An Autobiography songs
$7.29 "Here's your sign" has been Bill Engvall's signature bit since his hit debut in 1996. He's retooled it again for Here's Your Sign Reloaded. The Matrix riff is neither here nor there; it's just a wacky way to sell the record. Inside, you'll find Engvall running through his normal set of mildly amusing regular-guy humor. It's the sort of thing many people find funny not because it actually is, but because each observation fits seamlessly into the collective everyday world of middle-class American life. "I've Been Married for Twenty Years" and "Getting Old Sucks" are self-explanatory, while "Jolly Roger Party Boat" relates the events of a family theme cruise gone absurdly ...

| | Bill Clifton Around The World To Poor Valley CDs (2001) (Import) Import; Boxed Set; Germany
Cheap Drunk: An Autobiography album
$229.45 Includes a booklet with previously unseen photos, a biography by Rienk Janssen, and a complete discography by Richard Weize.
As a wealthy northerner, Bill Clifton's career in bluegrass and old-timey music not only demonstrated the universal appeal of musical forms previously associated with the poor, rural South, but paved the way for the broad success of the bluegrass revival in the '60s and '70s among artists and audiences from diverse backgrounds. Ironically, Clifton adhered more strictly to the traditions of old-timey and bluegrass music than many of the vaunted bluegrass artists with more "authentic" upbringings. Around the World to Poor Valley is an eight-disc box set that compiles most, but not all, of Clifton's commercial recordings, from his 1954 recordings for Blue Ridge Records to a song he recorded in 1995 for a compilation. In between are his complete Mercury and Starday recordings from the late '50s and '60s, including albums such ...
| | George Jones Rock CD (2001)
Cheap Drunk: An Autobiography CD music
$7.99 "Beer Run (B Double E Double Are You In?)" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals.
After an aesthetic rough patch in the 1980s, George Jones began a triumphant artistic renewal in the '90s that lasted into the 21st century. THE ROCK finds the seemingly tireless country king maintaining his strength. If one overlooks the ultimately harmless presence of Garth Brooks on the pro-suds romp "Beer Run," there's not a false step on THE ROCK. The giddy stomp of the house-rocker "Around Here" ...
