A "Must have" for serious Early Music collectors When this recording was first issued on LP, it was a monument to the life work of David Munrow, leader of the London Early Music Consort. DGG/Archiv made a serious mistake in their first issue of this remarkable recording in the CD format by leaving out half of the music originally recorded. Now they have come to their senses and finally issued the complete recording.
This is medieval music played at its best, circa 1976. The performances stand the test of time very well and are a true monument to the genius of David Munrow.
I am not as happy with the packaging on the other hand. The blue tint plastic and the plain cover don't do the music inside proper justice. This packaging makes it look very insignificant. I wish DGG/Archiv had kept the original artwork and used a clear package.
