| | Nomads Showdown 2 - The 90s CD Nomads Discography of CDs
The Swedish garage-rock band the Nomads has been purveying its particular brand of elemental punk rock since the early 1980s. This two-CD retrospective features tracks from such early 1990s releases as `91s SONICALLY SPEAKING and `94s POWERSTRIP, as well as rare singles and live tracks. Unsurprisingly, since two of the Nomads's biggest influences are the Dictators and the MC5, there are also guest appearances from the former band's Handsome Dick Manitoba, on a live-and-kicking version of "Minnesota Strip," and the latter's Wayne Kramer, on the similarly electrifying "Kick Out the Jams."
This double CD collection has 21 tracks on each disc. The second disc is even enhanced with two videos, CD 1 includes tracks from the Sonically Speaking CD that has never been released in the States. CD 2 has tracks from singles and comps (many for the first time on CD) as well as live tracks with guests such as Handsome Dick Manitoba, Jello Biafra, Ross The Boss from The Dictators, Chris Bailey from The Saints, and Wayne Kramer! Sympathy For The Record Industry. 2002.
Personnel: The Nomads, Jello Biafra, Handsome Dick Manitoba, Wayne Kramer, Ross The Boss, Chris Bailey.
This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Showdown 2 - The 90s Music Nomads Showdown 2 - The 90s Songs | | Showdown 2 - The 90s CD DISC 1: |

Showdown 2 - The 90s songs
$8.49 At this stage of her career Mariah Carey does not need to prove herself, but her voice is so powerful that with each new recording she, once again, reminds you: "Listen to what I can do." Vocal gymnastics and Christmas songs are not often thought of as a compatible combination, but on MERRY CHRISTMAS Mariah jumps, climbs, crawls, twirls and dashes her way through both traditional fare and original Christmas songs.
She shifts through styles, offering fans from all musical camps a gift of their own. Her "Silent Night" shows off a studied vocalization where liquid phrasing is key. "Miss You Most (At Christmas Time)" shows off a dynamic voice that is hard to match. She has fun with the Phil Spector goodie "Christmas ...
| | Rammstein Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da CDs (2009) Bonus Tracks; Deluxe Edition; Digipak
Showdown 2 - The 90s album
$17.79 Anyone familiar with the industrial-metal band's dark sense of irony should take one look at the title of Rammstein's 2009 album LIEBE IST FUR ALLE DA ("Love Is There For Everyone") and conclude that this one is a mean monster. Combining the tightness and punch of their 1998 album SEHNSUCHT with the musicianship and elaborate textures of their later work, LIEBE IST is a grand achievement, skillfully dividing its time between razor sharp metal rockers like "B********" or the opening theme song "Rammlied" and nostalgic, cabaret pieces that conjure the spirits of Weil and Brecht at a goth club. Best of the latter is the naked and haunting closer "Roter Sand" but little touches of a sinister yesteryear are everywhere, like the fake vaudeville music in "Haifisch" or the soundtrack ...
| | Lady Gaga Fame Monster CDs (2009) Deluxe Edition
Showdown 2 - The 90s CD music
$16.44 Initially planned solely as a standard double-disc reissue in the wake of the blockbuster success of The Fame, Lady Gaga decided to release the new material as a separate EP called The Fame Monster in addition to the standard two-CD set, where it's tacked onto a now standardized version of her debut. It's a nice move for fans, plus it helps emphasize the new material, which does act as a bridge from the debut to a forthcoming full-length. Everything on The Fame Monster bears a galvanized Eurotrash finish, as evident on the heavy steel synths of "Bad Romance" and the updated ABBA revision "Alejandro," as it is on the rock & roll ballad "Speechless" -- its big guitars lifted from Noel Gallagher -- and the wonderful, perverse march "Teeth." Even the stuttering splices on "Telephone," a duet with Beyoncé, leans to the other side of the Atlantic, which just emphasizes the otherness that's ...

$17.15 Recorded between 1972 & 1994. Includes liner notes by Barry Alfonso.
Often overshadowed by Sly & the Family Stone when mention of racially integrated groups arises, War nonetheless left quite a mark, thanks to their mix of socially conscious messages and irresistible grooves. Between Lee Oskar's unorthodox harmonica playing and the percussion triumvirate of Papa Dee Allen, Harold Brown and B. B. Dickerson, War was a formidable funk machine, be it in the studio or on stage. Although the 2-CD collection THE VERY BEST OF WAR reprises plenty of material that came out on the 1994 double-disc set ANTHOLOGY (1970-1994), the track selection includes new edits along with songs from PEACE SIGN, the band's last studio effort. All of the band's hits can be found here, including "Spill the Wine," its breakout smash with Eric Burdon, and ...
