Closed Captioned; Soundtrack English You thought Michael Myers was decapitated at the end of HALLOWEEN: H20? Think again. The latest installment in the popular horror franchise, HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION, uses a clever premise to give the legendary murderer yet another opportunity to wreak havoc on a cast of innocent characters. Back in Haddonfield, Illinois, Freddie Harris (Busta Rhymes), upstart entrepreneur of Dangertainment.com, recruits six lucky college students to partake in a potentially dangerous game. Wearing miniature video cameras, the participants must spend Halloween night inside the decrepit home of Michael Myers, to the delight of Internet viewers all over the country. While most of the kids are in it for fun, fame, and fortune, Sara Moyer (Bianca Kajlich) is a glaring exception. Innocent, shy, and nervous, Sara grudgingly joins her friends Jen (Katee Sackhoff) and Rudy (Sean Patrick Thomas), against her better judgment. As darkness sets in and the bodies begin to pile, it's up to Sara--aided by an Internet pen pal--to put an end to Michael once and for all (or so she thinks!). Director Rick Rosenthal (HALLOWEEN 2) and screenwriters Larry Brand and Sean Hood incorporate technology into the story, using a grainy visual approach to add another layer of creepiness to the proceedings. Theatrical release: July 12, 2002

FUN BUT DUMB This movie was fun but true fans of the series will dismiss it, and it is a little too ghetto for a slasher movie. I don't think buster ryhmes was a good idea and to be honest he looks scarier than michael myers! Submitted by Allen Myers (warrington hills) Was This Review Helpful? HORRIBLE! AN INSULT TO WRITERS EVERYWHERE! After Kevin Williamson gave H20 the treatment of bringing Jamie Lee back to the series, after the definite Curse of Michael Myers, (A curse indeed!) I had high hopes. Bringing back the heroine and then it was over. She cut off his head, right after he smirks at her, showing his true evil self. Then the worst Halloween movie ever begins! It starts by insulting us saying Myers wasn't behind the mask, but instead an innocent that Myers switched bodies with. Watch the movie folks, she smiled and she hacked off his head! I'm confused and they say it was someone that couldn't talk, because Myers crushes their throat. Not only that, but they insult us even more by having Jamie Lee, a very smart character in H20 come back with a guilty conscience for killing the wrong person. So when Myers comes back again, she can't kill him. She has to know it is really him this time. WHAT!!!! He comes after her with a knife and is trying to stab her and we're suposed to believe that she thinks she may be killing an innocent person again. BAD, BAD WRITERS! NAUGHTY! Thanks for ruining the series and oh ya, thanks for the worse ending in movie history. Thanks for nothing! Submitted by a reviewer (Louisville, KY) Was This Review Helpful? One Of The Best!! Halloween Resurrection is usually met with mixed reviews and feelings. It seems to be a love or hate type film. I think its clear that if you're expecting a film like the original Halloween and thats all you want, go look for Halloween 2 or Halloween 4. If you're more open to just a really good horror film with cool photography, a nice score, some pretty cool death scenes, and that can make you jump a few times this is something I believe you would like. Many Halloween fans do not like this movie, but there are quite a few that do. I have really liked the film ever since the first time I saw it. Its a fun movie to watch; by no means should you take the film too seriously. Just watch it and go with the ride. If you're the type of person who likes to nit pick every single aspect of a movie saying "that would never happen" then don't buy this. Don't watch horror films for that matter! Furthermore, I do believe this is a good sequel. I actually like it a lot more than Halloween H20. The best word to describe the film is fun. Thats the way I think of it. It does certainly have its share of thrilling and frightening moments. Its an underrated film in general and its nice to see that some do actually like this film. Most of the time you can buy it for pretty cheap, I do recommend that a horror fan check it out. Just have an open mind watching it. Submitted by Rick (Ohio) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
