Live In Sorgues France CD music
$9.89 STRETCHING OUT contains 2 LPs on 1 CD: SATIN DOLL (1959)/LIL' DARLIN' (1959).
When it comes to Red Garland's history as a recording artist, there is good news and bad news. First, the bad news: Garland spent most of the '60s in semi-retirement and didn't get into the studio at all from 1963-1969. Now, the good news: Prestige and its various subsidiaries documented Garland extensively in the late '50s and early '60s. During that period, the influential pianist recorded about 25 sessions as a leader -- and that isn't counting all the Prestige releases that feature him as a sideman. Fantasy, which owns the Prestige catalog, has generally been good about reissuing ...

Live In Sorgues France music CDs
$8.89 THE PRESTIGE TRIO SESSIONS contains 2 LPs on 1 CD: LITTLE BAREFOOT SOUL (1964)/CHUN-KING (1964).
This CD reissue combines two long-available Prestige LPs by Bobby Timmons, Little Barefoot Soul and Chun-King. The first date was actually the pianist's debut for the label, and it nearly didn't take place at all. A quintet session suddenly turned into a trio with bassist Sam Jones and Ray Lucas, the latter a last minute substitution on drums. Although Timmons' jazz immortality was assured with his earlier hit "Moanin'," most of the originals sound as if they were written shortly beforehand and were ...

| | Isis Oceanic: Remixes Reinterpretations CDs (2005)
Live In Sorgues France songs
$12.85 Isis plays metal. But it's no stretch to consider the group alongside devotees to drone, sludge, noise, or blip -- all those artistic sublevels spill out on the papery fringe, anyway. And that's why Oceanic: Remixes/Reinterpretations is such a powerful project. The collaborators here are continuing Oceanic's restless evolutionary cycle, so their results are free to be loud, soft, or somewhere in the foggy between. Of the 13 tracks featured on this two-disc set, 12 originally appeared on a series of 12" EPs; disc two's second version of Tim Hecker's "Carry" interpretation is exclusive. Hecker's "Carry [First Version]" elongates the seesaw notes in Isis' original, stretching them with ropes of warping electric guitar and letting a soft ambient texture sift in toward the end. Christian Fennesz's work with "Weight" has an equally powerful gravity -- somewhere near its halfway mark he suspends ...
| | Low Frequency In Stereo Travelling Ants Who Got Eaten CD (2005)
Live In Sorgues France album
$13.25 Instrumental rock has come in a variety of forms over the years, ranging from '60s surf groups like the Ventures to the folk-rock fingerpickers (acoustic guitarist John Fahey and his numerous disciples) to the Steve Vai/Joe Satriani/Randy Coven school of hard rock shredders. But Low Frequency in Stereo is an instrumental group that doesn't fall into any of those categories -- well, at least they are instrumentalists ...

| | Station Hollow CD (2007)
Live In Sorgues France album
$16.45 Station Hollow BioStation Hollow is a Country Duo comprised of the talented Singer/songwriter, “Lonnie Gines”, and Songwriter/guitarist, “Jeremy Gardner”. The music is Western, it’s Country, and it’s stirred up with a healthy dose of Rodeo Rock ‘n Roll. Both artists, having been raised in the West (Lonnie, from Rock Springs WY, and Jeremy in Heber, UT), would say “their music is really just a progressive version of the music they’ve grown up on.” Strongly influenced by Rodeo and its’ thirst for western music, Chris Ledoux plays a major role in the songwriting views of Station Hollow. Stylistically speaking, it goes without saying that like so many other music lovers, influences like Garth Brooks and George Strait are very prominent in Station Hollow’s unique sound. Being songwriters, both Lonnie and Jeremy portray heavly influenced lyrics from other artists like Steve Earle, Clint Black, Merle Haggard, and even recent artists like Trent Tomlinson and Brad Paisley. Now with the release of their Self Titled Debut Album, “Station Hollow”, the world can see what so many crazed fans are raving about! "It's one of those rare things that happens with music these days: You put in a brand new CD, from a band you've never heard before, and BAM!, you're hooked from the first song. And my listening audience seems to agree -- since I've started playing Station Hollow on the air, I get requests for them everyday! I'm definitely rooting for these guys to make it big!" Jasmine Weever92.1 KFRZ "The Freeze". Right now Station Hollow is setting up their 2007/ 08 “Cowboy State-of-Mind Tour”. Joining them on the road will be their label mate and long time good friend, “Jason Mecham”. The focus of the tour at this point is heavily involved in the promotion of rodeo and the lifestyle it encompasses through co-branding of the Inter-West Mini Bull Association, and other individual rodeo’s throughout the West. “Anything we can do to entertain and give that crowd a genuine taste of our passion for performing our music, all the while attempting to give back to those organizations who play such an intricate role in the exposure of our records is always first priority on our very long list of things to accomplish. “We want the success of Station Hollow to have a direct affect on the success of those organizations who are so deeply involved, and visa versa!” Also in the works is an “All Things Rodeo” event that will involve all aspects of rodeo, all ages, contests, games, education, benefits, and of course, the music! “Promoting this project has become so much more than promoting just an album, but in doing so the album still rides high.” ...
