| Loveline Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) The Legendary One Continues The legendary one continues - This Is one of the many Tyrone Davis releases In my collection. I feel very comfortable In leaving this artist and legend of soul & blues the highest mark. This CD Is a continuation of the fine works TD has been gracing since his union with Mississippi's Malaco Records. Track one of the "Love Line" LP kicks In with a bouncing, thick buttom, groove tight, rollin bass lines & backing vocal hooks that reminds one of the earlier Johnny Guitar Watson & The Gap Band. TD continues to chop-a-way thoughout this LP with his signature vocal styling leaning more towards his bluesier roots and at the same time staying current with the newer, younger blues artist todate. TD holds true to the formula that his brought him worldwide success. The lead/rhythm guitar and the now more synthier horns give this LP that southern bump-n-grind groove that no other hemisphere could deliver. This LP can be taken anywhere with you. I enjoy listening while riding In the car. I would highly recommend It all DJ's, Casinos, Night Clubs, Family Reunions, Truckers and of course your blue light In the basement swinging party. I leave this review In memory to my mother. She Introduced me to Tyrone Davis as a young child. I still remember her spinning the vinyl 45 of "Turn Back The Hands Of Time"

Loveline album
$18.05 Growing up among Afro-Americans in Berkeley, CA, Greek-American Johnny Otis (born John Veliotes) always identified strongly with people of color. Before he had attained the age of 20 he was gigging with black jazz bands throughout the Southwest, and eventually organized an ensemble deliberately patterned after Count Basie's orchestra. This highly charged album of historical musical artifacts documents the very beginning of Johnny Otis' recording career. With one apparently unobtainable exception, the Classics Blues & Rhythm Series has assembled all of Otis' ...
