Personnel includes: Ynguve Guddal, Roger T. Matte (piano). Recorded at the Norwegian Academy Of Music, Oslo, Norway in 1999 & 2000. Liner Note Author: Steve Hackett. Recording information: Concert Hall At The Norwegian Academy Of Music, Oslo, N (1999-2000). Editor: Yngve Guddal/Roger T Matte. Arrangers: Yngve Guddal/Roger T Matte; Roger T. Matte. With its introduction by Steve Hackett and adherence to the band's prog roots, Genesis for Two Grand Pianos should be seen as something more than the opportunistic string quartet tributes to pop music that seem to spawn with each release date. Performed by Norwegians Yngve Guddal and Roger T. Matte on two Steinways, the album runs through seven Genesis cuts culled from its literate 1970s albums. ("Duke's Travels" is the exception, but it was also the progressive exception amidst the more straightforward material of 1980s Duke). "Fountain of Salmacis," from 1971's Nursery Cryme, kicks things off here. In this form, it's an urgent mixture of bright prog chords and dark bottom end. Together with the stirring "Can-Utility and the Coastliners, it is a standout on the record. Genesis for Two Grand Pianos is recommended for the band's legion of longtime listeners, but general aficionados of piano might also find it interesting in a technical sense. ~ Johnny Loftus Genesis For Two Grand Pianos Music Genesis For Grand Piano Genesis For Two Grand Pianos Songs | 1. | Fountain of Salmacis, The |

Genesis For Two Grand Pianos
$11.18 The goal of Leona Lewis' 2007 debut Spirit was to prove that an X Factor winner could be a phenomenon not just in the U.K. but in the rest of the world. It's hard to say exactly what was missing from Vernon Reid's last album, Known Unknown. He had basically the same players and seemingly the same basic elements as on Mistaken Identity, but it somehow didn't add up to the same thrilling experience (despite being a fine album). Maybe it was the difference in production teams; maybe the songs weren't quite there -- who knows? Well, that certain something seems to be back with Other True Self. Longtime bandmates Leon Gruenbaum and Hank Schroy are still on board with Don McKenzie in the drummer ...

My mother passed away due to complications from severe burns on March 21, 1947. At that time, I was a freshman at Archie High School and my sister, Betty was in the 7th grade. After Mom's death, we became very close friends. After I learned to play rhythm guitar, we constantly sang together. We not only became the best of friends, we were inseparable. We began participating in singing contests at the local City and County fairs and won quite a few. There was a gentleman from a K.C., Mo. ...
