If it didn't follow Glitter, the gold standard for diva implosions in the early 21st century, Mariah Carey's Charmbracelet would simply be her worst album, but since it was rushed out in late 2002 in an effort to mask that disaster, to treat it as if it never happened, it achieves a special kind of grandeur -- it's a botched attempt to restore a career after a botched attempt at a crossover. A MUST HAVE!
Mariah Carey's first album release with Island/Def Jam record company and her 11th album. This album failed to be a success, but I don't see why. This is probably one of her more personal album. With great hits like "Through The Rain", "I Only Wanted", "Clown", "My Saving Grace", "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" It should've been a mega-hit. Mariah's first album after the failed flop Glitter, she proves she can make a hell of a comeback and don't ever underestimate her. Buy this album! Screw the critics, forget Glitter and Virgin, go out and buy this album!
