 Matchmaker review Product Description
An acerbic Boston spin doctor (Garofalo) arrives in the rural hamlet of Ballinagra, Ireland in search of local color to use as fodder in her employer's flagging Senatorial campaign. But what she finds is a rustic nightmare, as her arrival coincides with the town's hectic matchmaking festival. What's more, the local matchmaker has a bet riding on his ability to pair her off with her annoying hotel neighbor, an equally crusty and unwilling novelist.

| A Favorite at my house
I bought the DVD to replace the VHS that we've watched a million times. Love this movie with the sarcastic Janeane Garofolo.The story is funny and sweet and the Irish setting appeals to me too. Good cast of characters. I'll watch it a million more times. I wish there was a soundtrack because the music is good as well.

| Janeane Garofalo is a standout
I hated the language, but Miss Garofalo carried the movie with a host of charming Irish characters, the scenery and the music was a delight. Especially the Aran Island footage. Garofalo was sexy, beautiful and multilayered in her performance. It is worth seeing over just to see that beautiful face smile in Ireland. Good movie, not a so called Chick flick, I hate that phrase.

| Wonderfull Movie
This movie is one of my favorites. Janeane Garofalo is such a talented actress, and also looks beautiful in this movie. The music in this movie is great too. I looked for the soundtrack, but never could find it. Great movie, great scenery, espically the Aran Isle.

| Excellent 'feel-good' movie!!
This movie is funny, romantic and heart-warming! It is the perfect 'date' movie, and can easily lift a person's spirits if you are ever feeling down! Also, for anyone who is still looking for their 'soulmate', this movie lends hope to the thought that there is one person out there for each of us! Enjoy!!
