||Excellent Rock cd|
I thought that the cd kicked ass!!! The album titled, I'm Goin Sane track was really good. This is a lot more harder rock music than his days at the Mr. Big frontman.

||One of Rock's finest voices gets mired in mediocrity.|
While Eric Martin possesses one of Rock & Roll's best voices, on this album he largely squanders it on mediocre songs. Most of the songs on this album are written by Eric Martin and Andre Pessis. "My Disease",where they get some songwriting help from Night Ranger/Damn Yankee's Jack Blades; "Spacemane"; and "Bigger Man" are the best songs and they're really B-level songs instead of A-level songs. I may be kind of let down by this solo album, since after the break-up of Mr. Big I had kind of hoped that maybe he would return to his Soul/Rock style that he did on his 1985-self titled album and 1987s "I'm Only Fooling Myself". I still love Eric Martin's voice and I hope that next time out maybe he'll luck into writing some better songs; but if he doesn't I hope he'll realize he needs help, and maybe do some songs by other writers or do some cover songs to strengthen the next album. Collaborating with someone like Desmond Child or Dianne Warren could really help. The old Memphis Stax label records would also be a source of some good old Soul/Rock songs that Eric could consider covering. With his unique vocal talents if EM plays his cards right, he could have a career comparible to Rod Stewart in the 1970s and 1980s, or Michael Bolton.
