Blueprinty: The Gift & the Curse album for sale Product Description
Blueprinty: The Gift & the Curse album for sale by Jay-Z was released Nov 12, 2002 on the Def Jam label. THE BLUEPRINT 2 was nominated for the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. "Excuse Me Miss" was nominated for Best Rap Song Blueprinty: The Gift & the Curse songs. It's hard not to somewhat admire the guts of a rapper who would lead off his album by not merely sampling a hearty slice of the hallowed Notorious B.I.G. 's "Juicy" while Faith sings in the background, but by claiming Biggie's tacit approval on "A Dream." This is before he compares himself to Jesus at least three times. Blueprinty: The Gift & the Curse CD music is a 2-disc set with 25 songs. ...See Full Description

Black Album CD (2003) Top Seller
Blueprinty: The Gift & the Curse buy CD music In what he claims to be his final release as a musical performer, Jay-Z drops THE BLACK ALBUM, a sprawling, ambitious effort that rivals the best work of the rapper's already legendary career. Working with a who's who of hip-hop's most high-profile producers, the outrageously talented MC adjusts his flow and subject matter to the wildly varied tracks, proving once again just how gifted he is as a wordsmith.
From the epic "What More Can I Say" (a collaboration with the Buchannans) to the brutally honest, Eminem-produced "Moment of Clarity," THE BLACK ALBUM bleeds with inspiration. Other highlights include the fuel-injected "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" (featuring Timbaland behind the board), the club-ready "Change Clothes" (which sports the Neptunes' trademark beats), and the old-school stomp of "99 Problems" (with pioneering hip-hop producer Rick Rubin). It makes one wonder how an artist at the peak of his craft could willingly put the microphone down. Hopefully, time out of the spotlight will remind Shawn Carter why he became successful in the first place, and find him back in the studio.

Blueprint CD (2001)
Blueprinty: The Gift & the Curse album for sale THE BLUEPRINT was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. "Izzo (H.O.V.A.)" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance.
"Song Cry" was nominated for the 2003 Grammy Awards for Male Rap Solo Performance.
It's official. With his fifth album, aptly titled THE BLUEPRINT, Jay-Z has crowned himself the king of rap music. Laying a foundation for other MC's to follow, Jay Hova presents a lyrical masterpiece. And to make matters worse (for the competition, that is), he does so over a selection of the tightest beats (Jus Blaze, Timbaland) to come by hip-hop since fellow Brooklyn-ite Notorious B.I.G. changed the game. Jay-Z sets it off with a clear and concise statement of his purpose, "The Ruler's Back." From then on, each track dares rappers who tried to test his skills to answer back this time. There's also the cleverly worded (sort of a) love song "Girls, Girls, Girls," where Jay calls out every type of woman in the book. He limits the guest appearances to just one when he collaborates with Eminem for "Renegade." As always, classic material proves why Jay-Z retains his iconic status in the hip-hop world.

Jay-Z is a rapper's rapper. He is the lyricist all other MCs want to be, and he has the beats over which every other MC wants to rhyme. His third album, VOL. 2 HARD KNOCK LIFE, further verifies Jay-Z's #1 status. Throughout his musical career, Jay-Z has shown that he has the skills to pay more than just the bills. Experimenting like few other rap artists have, Jay-Z uses the Broadway musical Annie's "Hard Knock Life" for his title track and first single. With its hardcore production, "Money, Cash, Hoes" allows Jay-Z to demonstrate his lyrical skill alongside DMX. "Paper Chase" features Foxy Brown and diversifies VOL. 2 with its Southern Timbaland-produced feel.

Volume 3: The Life & Times Of S Carter CD (1999)
Blueprinty: The Gift & the Curse buy CD music VOL. 3... LIFE & TIMES OF S. CARTER nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and "Big Pimpin' was nominated for Best Rap Performance By A Duo or Group.
On his fourth solo release, VOL. 3...LIFE AND TIMES OF S. CARTER, Jay-Z keeps his lyrics laced up with as many jewels as his wrists. Though he's one of hip-hop's most street-connected rappers, Jay manages his commercial success well, a trait that this album makes clear. The Rockwilder-produced "Do It Again," which features labelmate Beanie Siegel, seems destined to find a place in club mixes with its energetic beat and catchy phrases. Jay Hova joins forces with down-south kings U.G.K. for "Big Pimpin'," a Timbaland-produced gem. Other guest artists include Missy Elliott and Cash Money's Juvenile. With VOL. 3...LIFE AND TIMES OF S. CARTER, Jigga takes time away from ghostwriting for other rappers to show off some of his own skills.

Dynasty Roc la Familia CD (2000)
Blueprinty: The Gift & the Curse songs "Change The Game" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance By A Duo Or Group.
Jay-Z released REASONABLE DOUBT, his solo debut, in 1996. Only four years later, he dropped his fifth album, THE DYNASTY. Matching his unique off-beat delivery with hip-hop's most impressive lyrics, the Brooklyn-native reinforces the idea that he is one of rap's most profound MCs. Once again, Jay-Z shows us he knows about "big pimpin'" with tracks like "I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)" and "Parking Lot Pimpin'," tales about the fast life, women, and money.
Still, the rapper doesn't abandon the street ethics that have made him famous, as evident on the hustler's anthem "Streets Is Talking." Limiting the guest appearances to a minimum, besides his Roc-a-fella camp, he is joined by heavy hitters such as Snoop Dogg on "Get Your Mind Right Mami" and R. Kelly on "Guilty Until Proven Innocent." Inspiring other rappers to think deeply before they put their pen to the pad, Jay-Z keeps getting better, and despite multi-platinum status, he hasn't lost his street credibility.
Exclusive import edition of the platinum selling rappers 5th album features 16 tracks.
