Raccoon City has somehow fallen victim to a zombie outbreak and it's up to you as either police officer Leon Kennedy, or Claire Redfield (sister to Chris Redfield from RE1), to find out what's going on. The adventure, which takes place in 3D using pre-rendered backgrounds, drags you through spooky crash sites, abandoned buildings, experiments gone wrong and more -- all the while battling undead monstrosities, solving puzzles and, most of all, trying to stay alive. Lots of weapons and other gadgetry allow for some truly disgusting mayhem. RE2 for GameCube is a port of the Dreamcast game of the same name (which in turn was an enhanced port of the PSX title). New EX files reveal more details about the overall franchise storyline, and the graphics run in hi-res, but those are the only differences. Resident Evil 2 Games Review Average Rating: (4.3 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Entertaining. I first played this game on my Playstation. After a while, I decided to take a rest from the game, since I had beaten game so many times (both characters scenarios). When I heard that this game was going to be on Gamecube, I wanted to relive the adventure. Since I already have Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil one, I was expecting a similar revamping version of RE 2. When I noticed that the Gamecube version was a port of the N64 or Dreamcast version, I said to myself "Oh Well." It wasn't a big deal. Just as long as the producers of the game make a decent attempt to update/enhance graphics and whatnot, I'll be a very satisfied customer. It was the same with my Legend of Zelda bonus disc that came with my Gamecube. My point is when I played this game I was much more focused how much fun I was having instead of how great the graphics were. In the long run, 64 bits is better than 32. Anyway, I'm sure there will be more Resident Evil games with 128-bit+ processing power. Take Resident Evil 4. Can't wait. Personally, I looking very forward on how Leon S. Kennedy has changed. Could Ada possibly make an apperance? Sherry??? Submitted by RemLink_9 (Corpus Christi, TX, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

A PSOne Classic Port Graphics aren't everything in a game, guys. I know these PSOne graphics aren't the best thing since you're playing in a GameCube, but I don't care about graphics, I care about how fun a game is to play. And Resident Evil 2 has a great story and great characters, so this makes it worth buying if you like horror games. Submitted by HoRRoR_MaNIaC (Brazil) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
