So Valiant ignores his better judgment and tries to save the harassed hare from a nefarious Judge just aching to terminate him. For Roger's sake, he ventures into a dangerous and tempting space, the place where anything can happen and imagination rules... the magical, maniacal 'Toontown. Someone is out to steal "Toon Town" from cartoon characters -- and to get their hands on the valuable property, they have framed its biggest cartoon star for murder. Excellent package for an excellent movie The sheer talent of the artists who animated the characters of Toon Town still shines today, and the movie feels in no way dated compared to contemporary films. It stands alone in it's achievements. In a time before CG, the believability of the charachters and their interaction with the real world is brilliant conveyed. The story is still engaging and the humour timeless. The sound and picture on the disc is perfect too and the documentaries are very insightful. One of the Greatest Animated Movies in History! For those simply worship animated movies that star a crazy rabbit, a sexy doodle, a talking car, and Bob Hoskins all in one movie, this is a keeper. If you love this type of movie, try out COOL WORLD, SPACE JAM or LOONEY TUNES BACK IN ACTION. Submitted by dhopfe (Camrose, AB, Canada) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful. Who Framed Roger Rabbit? DVD Who Framed Roger Rabbit
It's 1947 Hollywood, and Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins), a down-on-his-luck detective, is hired to find proof that Marvin Acme, gag factory mogul and owner of Toontown, is playing hanky-panky with femme fatale Jessica Rabbit, wife of Maroon Cartoon superstar Roger Rabbit. When Acme is found murdered, all fingers point to Roger, and the sinister, power-hungry Judge Doom (Christopher Lloyd) is on a mission to bring Roger to justice. Roger begs the Toon-hating Valiant to find the real evildoer and the plot thickens as Eddie uncovers scandal after scandal and realizes the very existence of Toontown is at stake! WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT is deliciously outrageous fun the whole family will enjoy.
