| | Impellitteri System X CD Impellitteri Discography of CDs
(3 Customer Reviews)
This album by heavy metal guitarist Chris Impelliteri features vocalist Graham Bonnet and includes 10 incendiary tracks.
German edition of 2002 album for heavy metal act featuring guitarist Chris Impelliteri & former MSG & Rainbow vocalist Graham Bonnet. Featuring a rusty sledgehammer/slightly disgruntled sound. Fiery, irascible, vindictive lyrics abound, the songs are responses to many controversial, emotional subjects, from 9-11, to corrupt justice, racism, macabre violence & raw animalistic emotion. Warning, if you are borderline manic-depressive or sociopathic, this CD will put you over the edge. Steamhammer. 2002. Impellitteri System X Songs | 1. | Rock and Roll Heroes |

| System X Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) No complaints This is my first Impellitteri album, and i just put in an order for another one. Awesome guitars, and I like the vocals, screw you if you don't. Submitted by Paul (G'boro, NC, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Can't go wrong with Impellitteri!!! Catchy Impellitteri album, which includes Graham Bonnet on vocals just like on Stand In Line (1987). Rocks from start to finish. Submitted by Frank (Frostburg, MD) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Graham Bonnet fans rejoice! Finally after many years of mediocre music from Bonnet solo albums and the abysmally bad Blackthorne album, Graham Bonnet has return with a one of his best metal releases. This album ranks right up there with the first Alcatrazz album and Impellitteri's Stand In Line (the last Impellitteri to feature Graham Bonnet). It graps you by the throat with the first opening cords and doesn't let go until the end. Hard and heavy. Dated musically but so damn good you don't care. System X album
$10.35 Channeling vintage Judas Priest while adding a touch of thrash metal dynamics and layered vocals, Primal Fear comes galloping out of the metal underground once again on Black Sun. By concentrating just a little bit harder on the heaviness of the music, the band manages to deliver a more consistently engaging product than many of their contemporaries in the power metal field. The abrasive riffing is nicely offset by the melodic guitar work, which brings to mind late-'80s Joe Satriani with its clear phrasing and fluid wankery. And there's nothing wrong with a little guitar wank when it comes to this kind of music, which is shameless in its use of dramatic riffing and button-pushing dynamics. The anthemic bravado of the catchy "Light Years From Home" is the album's true highlight, but several other songs also manage to capture that same attitude ...

$13.45 Much to the delight of old-school headbangers, the classic lineup of one of the great (yet usually underappreciated) bands of the '70s, UFO, regrouped in 1993. UFO's first new record since reuniting, 1995's Walk On Water, saw the quintet pick up exactly where it left off, not altering its formula ...
| | Racer X Getting Heavier CD (2003)
System X music CDs
$14.55 There was a period in the late '80s where rock guitar was headed in a highly technical direction, where you'd have to practice on your instrument for hours upon hours to keep up with the players in your latest edition of Guitar for the Practicing Musician. One of the best examples of this was Racer X, which included not one but two "shredders": Paul Gilbert and Bruce Bouillet. However, by 1989 the group was kaput when Gilbert decided to jump ship and join up with bass extraordinaire Billy Sheehan in pop metallists Mr. Big. When Racer X reunited in 2000, Gilbert assumed all the guitar duties in the band, which he obviously has no problem handling, as evidenced by such subsequent releases as 2003's Getting Heavier. Whereas some rock bands mellow as the years add up, Racer X is ...

System X CD music
$14.29 Survival sans Michael Schenker will forever be the plight of English hard rock heavyweights UFO. Indeed, for many ardent fans, the validity of the group's existence appears to hinge on the presence of the irascible German within its ranks. But with all due respect to the incomparable mad axeman, even his formidable talents have done little to elevate UFO's performance during its reunions of the '90s and 2000s, so it's only fair that the enduring "classic" trio of vocalist Phil Mogg, bassist Pete Way, and rhythm guitarist/keyboardist Paul Raymond should be free to carry on with or without him. They do the latter on 2004's You Are Here, a steady but very workmanlike album (recorded, ironically enough, in Germany) on which the lineup is rounded out by drummer Jason Bonham and American guitarist Vinnie Moore. Opening numbers like the AC/DC-riffed "When Daylight Goes to Town," the rhythmically jumpy "Black Cold Coffee," and the cool grooving "The Wild One" all throw off intermittent sparks, but leave no real lasting thunder in their wake. In a way, they are thus true to UFO tradition by prioritizing nuance over explosiveness, but this still can't mask the fact that there's no sign of a timeless tune among them, ...

System X music CDs
$34.29 The 1991 remix album featuring 11 tracks and lyrics in German.
1991's THE MIX is a collection of 11 often-radical remixes of Kraftwerk classics from the '70s and early-'80s. Unlike most remix projects, which merely extend the song needlessly or slap a currently-fashionable and usually inappropriate new beat on an old song, THE MIX starts from the ground up, so to speak: most of these songs are so extensively reworked that they bear only passing resemblance to the originals. For example, the opening deconstruction of "The Robots" purposely ...

$10.65 Marc Jeffares was born in Humboldt County, California—a rural area in the extreme north of the state known as the home of the giant redwood trees and some of the most beautiful and undeveloped coast lines in the western United States. Certainly, this was no ordinary place to grow up—a fact that finds no surprise in his music. Inspired early by artists such as Kris Kristofferson, Tom Waits, and Niel Young, ...
