Pat Dailey Underwater Land CD

Olympia Records is proud to announce the CD release of "Underwater Land", a collection of 17 children’s songs, written and produced by the legendary Shel Silverstein and sung by his longtime friend and collaborator Pat Dailey. (BestChildrensMusic.com). The CD features performances by Shel himself on several tracks, and the beautiful 32-page booklet boasts all the lyrics and many previously unpublished Silverstein drawings. Shel Silverstein (1930-1999), the renowned poet, illustrator, screenwriter, and songwriter, is best known for his immensely popular children’s books including The Giving Tree, Falling Up, and A Light in the Attic, which have entertained a worldwide audience and amassed sales in the tens of millions. A celebrated recording artist, Silverstein won the 1984 Grammy Award for Best Children’s Recording for his performance of Where the Sidewalk Ends. Singer/songwriter Pat Dailey has released 13 acclaimed albums, and is a wintertime staple at Sloppy Joe’s, the Key West landmark. A popular veteran of the Midwest music scene, Dailey regularly performs to capacity crowds from Michigan to Florida. Close friends for over a decade, Silverstein and Dailey traveled to Nashville in 1997 to record Underwater Land.
