2 stars Make it 2 and 1/2 stars
Another Elvis flick which is a bit better than some might think. It's still "formula" but the easy-goin' plotline and coupla cool songs, and Elvis as a Frogman who sings, as opposed to a race-car driver or speedboat or helicopter operator who is great with kids but can't make up his mind with grown-ups and sings, make it enjoyable. (Although Presley's encounter with a Yoga Instructor is pretty embarrassing - with a very silly production number. He probably did not like making fun of something he probably believed in, in his personal life). Watch this one - then run the '68 Special.
