A well-written, personal work filled with introspective lyrics, great melodies & clever hooks. A softer sound from the current Europe material (2004) but still showcasing Joey's wonderfully distinctive vocals. Strongest track: "Forgiven" & some others sound a bit like David Usher's style.
Definitely a must for all Joey & Europe fans!

GREAT ALBUM
For any Joey or Europe fan, this is just a great cd to listen to while going on long drives, it will get you singing & humming along for the whole time. Best tracks are " Always on the run ". Forgiven ". & "Magnificent".

ANOTHER BRILLIANT ALBUM.TEMPEST'S SONG WRITING IS IN A CLASS BY IT SELF.WANT AN ESCAPE FROM SHALLOW MUSIC? GIVE THIS GUY A LISTEN.."EVERY UNIVERSE" AND "LOSERS" ARE THE ALBUM'S GEMS!!

[This cd is incorrectly placed in the "heavy metal" category. This is a pop cd]. Very well done album. Good songwriting, and great production. The guitar sound has more weight to it than his previous two releases, though overall it's a fairly laid back record. Joey's voice has never sounded better. Top favorites are the uptemo "forgiven" (the first single), tender ballad "superhuman", and midtemo tracks "always on the run" and "loved by me".

We had long talked about doing a 'one off' gig with a string quartet in a more intimate setting. We had also talked about adding songs from artists we admire to our own set-list. This album will raise eyebrows. After all, didn't Johnny Hates Jazz have only one hit song? Forget the band's brief popularity on the American charts. Johnny Hates Jazz was a vastly underrated group, a British pop act whose handsome looks blinded many to the talent bubbling underneath the surface. Most of the record consists of tracks from the band's debut LP, Turn Back the Clock, and their lesser-known follow-up, Tall Stories. Tall Stories was recorded after vocalist Clark Datchler left the group, replaced by Phil Thornalley. Since the long-deleted Tall Stories is hard to find, this might be the only opportunity for fans to hear songs from it. Despite a never-ending succession of guitarists, Ozzy Osbourne never changed his basic musical attack over the years. There are slight differences between the records, with the only noticeable distinctions being the production fads of the time. Ozzmosis, his sixth solo studio album, isn't all that different from his previous two records, No More Tears and No Rest for the Wicked, largely due to the still impressive skills of guitarist Zakk Wylde. However, even Wylde's prowess is diluted by the slick, modern-rock conscious production by Michael Beinhorn (Soul Asylum). Occasionally, the guitar is synthesized, which is indicative of the album's main flaw -- on the surface, the music is hard and loud, but it actually sounds smooth and processed. Furthermore, there's a distinct lack of fully formed songs and riffs, which is what really sinks the record. Osbourne can survive bad production -- he has for most of his career -- but he can't survive without having anything to sing. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
