Candyman album
$5.99 The finest example of perfect disco pop, and a record that should be prescribed to musical snobs and manic depressives. The album is a true ambassador of what pop music can be. Jackson whoops and dances through a suite of unforgettable melodies that should be danced to with a smile on your face. Each track offers at least one musical hook, whether it is the beauty of 'Human Nature' (who can resist the 'dada dada da da da') or the 'whoo whoo' of 'Billie Jean'. It's all too good.
Principally recorded at Westlake Audio, Los Angeles, California.

It's always a sign that a group is hot if they release a holiday album mere months after their debut. That's the case with *NSYNC. Their debut was released in America in late March, and in early December, Home for Christmas hit the shelves. Much of the album is devoted to newer material, with only a handful of songs qualifying as standards: "The Christmas Song," "The First Noel," and "O Holy Night." All of it is given the familiar *NSYNC sheen, alternating between slickly produced adult contemporary ballads and lite dance-pop. Fans of the group will certainly find it reasonably enjoyable, even though it makes it clear that the group simply can't rival such peers ...

| | Slayer World Painted Blood CD (2009)
Candyman songs
$10.39 Of the "big four" original thrash bands (the other three being Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth), Slayer was the least compromising and most consistent. As such, 2009's WORLD PAINTED BLOOD recalled more than the title of Slayer's 1986 masterpiece REIGN IN BLOOD; it shared the earlier album's ferocious aggression and trademark speed metal-meets-hardcore sound. Throughout, the sound is lean and mean, with bassist/vocalist Tom Araya's vocals mixed relatively dry and upfront, giving the album a bracing, fist-to-the-face force. Jackhammer tracks such as "Hate Worldwide" and "Psychopathy Red" are short, ...

$7.95 Graham Snyder - Guitar, Lead VocalsCJ Cnossen - BassJohn Thomas - OrganLuke Kristensen - DrumsWhen they aren't writing music The Midnight Choir could likely be found kicking up dust on dirtbikes and recounting tales of growing up tall in Idaho. In fact, it was playing songs between rides that led these long-time friends to unite their varied experiences in previous bands as The Midnight Choir. Though the members have spent years apart the band's identity is firmly rooted in Idaho where Graham, CJ and Luke grew up together developing a repertoire of timeless stories that form the backbone of their music today. California is simply a pit-stop for the band - a good place to rehearse and the place where they were able to pick up JT and his house of organs. The Midnight Choir is fronted by Graham Snyder's aggressive acoustic guitar and hard driving, punk infused vocals. With influences like Steve Earle, The Band, Springsteen and Ramblin' Jack Elliot, their music delivers soulful and virtuous overtones that capture a true sense of Americana. The band embraces familiar elements of folk, country and rock music, but maintains a deep attraction to the exotic. Beyond their rustic façade - the cowboy boots and beat-up guitars - it is clear that these boys ...
