| | Bonnie Tyler Best Of The Best CD Bonnie Tyler Discography of CDs
This 18-track release features Welsh-born pop and soul singer Bonnie Tyler and features her hits "Total Eclipse Of The Heart" and "Holding Out For A Hero." There are a myriad of import Bonnie Tyler hit collections. This one features songs that appear on many others, but does offer a few highlights. Her biggest U.S. and European hits are here, notably "Holding Out for a Hero," "It's a Heartache," "If You Were a Woman (And I Was a Man)," "Lost in France," and her timeless, signature song, "Total Eclipse of the Heart," which sounds just as good (or better) many years after its original release. Buyer beware, however, this version of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" is severely edited, about three minutes shorter than the definitive, original version. Other highlights include "More Than a Lover"; "Save Up All Your Tears," which was a hit for Cher; "The Best," which was a hit for Tina Turner; "Don't Turn Around," a hit for Ace of Base; her passionate take on Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Have You Ever Seen the Rain"; and her cover of the Bee Gees' "To Love Somebody." There are better hits compilations on this artist, but this one is good for the casual fan, if they can overlook the travesty of the truncated "Total Eclipse of the Heart." ~ Jose Promis
Progressive rock fans discovered RAISON DE PLUS, thanks to the 1987 "Enchantement" compilation. Since this period, the French band from Nancy has worked on its first album project, as the "Le Roi Du Temps" maxi-vinyl tends to prove it. And eight years will be necessary to realize "Au Bout Du Couloir", involving a lot of care. With the same team, Jean-Louis HENRIET's group produces in 2001 the sublime "Ici Est Ailleurs". This opus sounds much more professional, while the musicians has reached another maturity step. With its Progressive rock sung in French, RAISON DE PLUS is close to ANGE, MONA LISA or ELIXIR. Or to heirs like VERSAILLES and MAGNESIS. A music influenced by the Seventies, as well for compositions and lyrics as for sounds (Analog keyboards, flute, etc...). Those ten tracks assign a large space to instrumental developments, evolving in lyrical guitar soli and ethereal keyboards. Tracks are intermixed with vocal sequences between traditional singing and narrations. Best Of The Best
$14.09 Audio Mixer: Randy Staub . When Layne Staley died from a drug overdose in 2002, it had already been several years since most Alice in Chains fans stopped hoping for a new album. The singer had become a recluse since the late-`90s, and there was little indication that AIC would ever again produce much in the way of new music. As a result, when the remaining members reunited to release BLACK GIVES WAY TO BLUE in 2009, expectations were low. To the delight of all however, the album proved to be perhaps the Seattle combo's most energetic and consistent effort since its masterpiece DIRT. Perhaps the most surprising element of the new record was how much it sounded exactly like Alice in Chains. While new singer William DuVall was not an exact Staley soundalike, he managed to evoke both the unique ...
