Foreigner Movie Review Average Rating: (2 out of 5 stars) Where has the master gone? I'm a senior and despite the violence Steven has always fought for the underdog. I am sad to have to say that the quality of the films of late fall short and do not do Steven justice. I don't know if it is lack of funding and/or the lack of other known actors/actresses appearing in the films. Steven has always been tops and I collect his videos and will continue to buy even the cheaply made ones in hope that someday he will return to his place of glory for he is a master in all he does. He needs to get rid of some of his excess baggage so he can move with less effort. I am devoted to him and his movies and pray they will upgrade from his recent ones. Impressed I thought this was a good movie all round. Spy thrillers, I think he (Steven Seagal)should be looking along those lines for scripts. Submitted by a reviewer (Queensland Australia) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Don't Bother This movie wasn't directed or produced by Mr Seagal and was a marked departure from his other movies that are tightly controlled and move along to a suspenseful ending. This movie jumped around so much that one was left wondering if there really was a plot and finally ended with a resounding dud. Don't bother trying to stick with the movie to the end hoping that it gets better - it doesn't. Submitted by a reviewer (Gillet, PA, US of A) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$17.99 Four silent films from the early 20th century are collected here.
THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI: In this silent, classic example of early German expressionism--a cinematic landmark--the stylized tale is told of Dr. Caligari, a fairground showman who hypnotizes an innocent villager--turning him into a sleepwalking "zombie"--and compelling him to carry out fiendish murders. Inarguably a landmark in world cinema, Robert Weine's one-of-a-kind thriller features fantastical and heavily stylized sets, antirealist acting, and evocative subjective camerawork.
THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME: This silent film is the first screen version of Victor Hugo's 1831 novel. Lon Chaney plays the deformed bell-ringer who is smitten by a beautiful dancing girl persecuted by the wicked bishop of Notre Dame.
NOSFERATU: F.W. Murnau's German silent classic is the original--and some say most frightening--DRACULA adaptation, taking Bram Stoker's novel and turning it into a haunting, shadowy dream full of dread. Names from the novel had to be changed when Stoker's wife charged the book was being filmed without proper permission. ...
