If there was a better band around playing Dixieland in the mid Fifties than the Eddie Condon All Stars I have yet to hear them.These two studio jam-sessions showedthe musicians at their very best.With Wild Bill Davison on cornet,Billy Butterfield on trumpet,Ed Hall and Peanuts Hucko weaving their spells on clarinet andLou McGarity together with Cutty Cutshall on trombone,devotees of Dixieland will know this is an instant recipe for jazz at its best.Don,t miss these two!!!!!!!

 Classic Eddie Condon
Notwithstanding the missing three note trombone intro on “I Ain’t Gonna Give Nobody None of this Jelly Roll”, this CD is an almost flawless re-release of a 1950's recording I have enjoyed on vinyl for many years. Wild Bill Davidson on trumpet is at his best in what has to be one of the best Dixieland Jazz recordings in existence.

 great chicago-new orleans style jazz
if you like the old style of jazz you'll love this. it is just good ole tap your feet music.

 nostalgia
Excellent. Many inspired solos by great artists. The liner notes were very poor and gave little information about the jam session.

 Marvellous
These recordings have been my favourite recordings in this genre, since I heard them, in the mid fifties. My 45 rpm recordings are almos worn out, so I welcome the CD issue!
