Lucas, a nerdy 14-year-old, has skipped two grades and is having a tough time fitting in with his older classmates. The jocks make fun of him, and the girls barely know that he's alive. During the summer, Lucas's life is brightened by his new neighbor, who quickly becomes his good friend. Unfortunately, to Lucas she's a lot more than that, and when school begins again he realizes, to his dismay, that Maggie no longer belongs to him alone. This teen pic takes an uncompromising look at the troubles and "tragedies" of adolescence, when belonging to the in-crowd carries more weight than anything else in the world.

Filled with jealousy, Lucas doesn't even notice that there's another girl who likes him... Teenage Lucas (Corey Haim) is more interested in the wonders of science and the beauty of insects than football and parties. His problems begin when he falls in love with an attractive cheerleader (Kerri Green of GOONIES) during the summer, but when school begins again she completely forgets him. LUCAS also features Charlie Sheen, Winona Ryder, and Jeremy Piven. Film debut for Winona Ryder.

This is a great Movie the first time i watched it was as a young child and I still enjoy the movie today as a young man. A definate for everyones collection a good heartfelt story.

Well i actually saw this movie in school. We saw this movie because we read this book called CRASH by Jerry Spinelli. My rading teacher said this book and the movie were very much alike. When the movie first started i honestly thaught it was going to be boring but boy was i wrong it is one of the best movies i have ever seen. And guess what one of my friends aunt was in the movie but she was one of the people in the crowds and her aunts firendwas one of the cheerleader. So to say the least it was so great to see this movie.

 HOTT Movie!!!
Not only was Lucas a Hotty, but so was the girl, and that Jock she falls in love with. Wow, I was sitting there like thinking to myself "Can they get much hotter?????????" I mean, THOSE GLASSES!!!! They were wicked hott and cool and everything like that, ya know what I mean??? Yeah, and Wynona Ryder...can't spell her name, she was like 12, which is funny,. because she is old now, ya know?

Lucas Rules!
Lucas is an outstanding film. It surpasses all the standards for such a film. The plot is magnetic. The characters are real and deep. The Grusin soundtrack perfectly complements the storyline. The magical ending scene models the hope of the human experience.
Lucas is one of my top ten all-time favorites. It's a movie I can watch over and over because of the quality of the production.
