Through a magic spell, Ash, a modern-day discount-store employee, finds himself back in the middle ages. Given the key to return home by an alchemist, he bungles the incantation and, instead, releases the forces of darkness.
Now Ash has one job to do before transporting to the future: defeat the army of the evil dead... if they don't defeat him first. Unassuming store clerk Ash (Bruce Campbell) is time-warped into England's Dark Ages, where he must find the Necronomicon, a compendium of the black arts, before he can return home. All in All, Great DVD! Great special features and it's nice seeing the Director's Cut. Not the greatest of the Evil Dead series, but still a good movie.

Army Of Darkness, when first shown to Universal Pictures, had such a depressive ending and many scenes them guys didn't like that much, so they decided to cut this and that, change here and there, and then USA could watch, in a limited release, Army Of Darkness in theaters with a "happy" ending. Were these changes really worthy? Now you can judge for youself. Because, buying this THX Mastered DVD, you can see both versions of the movie (the Theatrical version can be watched in both Widescreen and Fullscreen, the Director's Cut only in Widescreen) and judge which one is the best. Plus you get awesome extras in both discs (yes, this edition has two DVDs), I won't spoil your surprises, you'll see it for yourself, but take my word for it: they're great. And last but not least, a highly enjoyable movie. If you didn't like all the gore and horror from the previous Evil Dead films, this movie is perfect for you. As a matter of fact, it's perfect for everyone who wants to see an enjoyable movie. Overall, Army Of Darkness is an awesome movie from Sam Raimi (director of Spider-Man) who has Bruce Campbell as it's main character... You can't go wrong with Raimi and Campbell. An awesome movie in an awesome edition. Yes, my friends, this DVD is worth every penny you spend on it. Come get some fun and buy this baby!

 pretty good!!!
I had never seen any evil dead movies until this one and it was weird and crazy but made me laugh a lot!!!!! It was pretty good,funny,creepy and scary in some parts but all in all it wasn't my favorite movie of all time!!!!!

Federico Fellini's Oscar-nominated 8 1/2 is a masterpiece of storytelling and cinema.
