sounds good the first time
then oyu realize that the singer signed into the Geoff Tate school of singing. Much of the album sounds like Queensryche and I noticed several songs that lifted rythyms and lyrics directly from Dream Theater's Images and Words CD. listen to DT's Learning to Live and Under a Silver Moon. I'm really surprised somebody hasnt been sued over this

This Cd should be on your "must have" list!
This Cd is a top of the line example of progpower and should be on your "must have" list. It zigs, it zags, it crunches, and it leaves you in a gooey pool of music enjoyment. The keyboard work and guitar rhythms are amazing. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

This band will surprise you
This Norwegian sextet provides a great package of prog and power metal. Their keyboardist shows off quite a bit of talent here - and could be featured more. I find the lead singer's voice engaging. This really is a must-purchase for the prog heavy metal fan. I grasp at straws to find complaints, but here they are for you to consider: (1) the guitar talent is average. Apparently they have two guitarists, but it is hard to discern that that is the case in most songs. They crunch out their chords and attempt only a couple of guitar solos. So while I complain about the guitar talent, the group seems to recognize the guitar limitations and so emphasizes the singer's and keyboardist's talent. (2) The celestial theme is okay, but not overwhelmingly appealing. They must say the word "dimension" about a hundred times in the lyrics. I hope the next album reaches for something other than the stars thematically. Nevertheless, I commend their choice to achieve one theme and to allow their music to interpret that one idea. (3) A few songs are slightly spoiled with lyrical growling by some celestial entity. See if you aren't a bit put off too. Still, their harmonizing and atmosphere overall capture the ear. And, they provide three instrumentals to step away from the lyrical part of the theme. Bottom line, they take each weakness I perceive and name for you here and find a way to mask the weakness if not outright make it a strength. You need to buy this if you are looking for a young band that is coming into its own and that is certain to receive widespread critical acclaim in years to come.
