This must have sold millions through the years.
Vikki's music from the 1970's are on the top charts of Cd universe, many of her Cds are. This tells you how some music is timeless. Columbia needs Vikki back along with Tony, and Julio and Barbara "$500 a ticket" taker .
I still have my vinyl with the centerfold whioh is still today displayed in my music room. Gotta love Vikki!

What a legend on this album!
Vikki Carr is a legend in both the pop and latin music scene. I am going to Bow Washington so I can hear Vikki sing in both languages. I would travel anywhere to hear this woman. I love Love Story and It's Impossible in Spanish. I also like Grande Grande Grande and to learn Vikki recorded this tune before Shirley Bassey did. One question...where's The Big Hurt? I love that tune and First Time Ever LP ever on CD?
I am calling for my tickets for the Bow washington concert.

Blast from the past
I had both these albums in vinyl and was delighted when I saw them available together as a CD. Of course, I miss the scratches my albums had from excessive use...(not!) but other than that, a true ride back down memory lane just as I hoped.

A listening experience worth treasuring!
Leopold Stokowski wrote that music is the ONLY international language that can cross all barriers. Such is the case with the re-release of Vikki Carr's two first ever Spanish language albums, "En Espanol" and "Hoy." Ms. Carr is so overwhelmingly convincing in these songs that no translation is needed--she communicates with one's soul instantly. The first album "Espanol" contains such undeniable goodies such as "Somos Novios" (better known as "It's Impossible"), "Historia de Amor" ("Love Story" loving sung in Spanish), and "Grande, Grande, Grande" (known as "Never, Never, Never" and recorded first by Ms. Carr!). "Hoy" is lower key yet is a fine example of how beautiful Ms. Carr's singing, song selection and poise can be with a song's lyric. Of particular notice are "El Tiempo Que Te Quede Libre" and the autumnal colorings of "Hasta Que Vuelvas." Arrangements were done by the great Bob Florence and full recording dates are included. Vito Cifaldi excells himself with very well written booklet notes. This is an excellent example of Vikki Carr's artistry, one which she exhibits to this very day in her contemporary performances. A most worthy recording excellently transferred to CD!

This CARR has drive
What can I say about Vikki that I haven't already said? Vikki is the best there is. En Espanol and Hoy are Vikki's first two spanish albums and trust me, they are classics. There isn't one single song that I don't like.
Buy this one and I'm sure you'll feel the same way. CW
