CLAUDE IS THE BEST
CLAUDE IS A GENIOUS. HE ALWAYS FINDS TALENTS AROUND THE WORLD AND PRESENTS THEM TO THE US. THE MUSIC KICKS ASS. GUY MANOUKIAN AND THE REST ARE THE BEST THEY TAKE TRADITIONAL ARMENIAN AND ARABIC MUSIC AND MIX IT INTO ONE OF THE BEST DANCE MUSIC THAT YOULL EVER HEAR. I HOPE TO HEAR MORE MUSIC LIKE THIS.

What a surprise!
This is really a great group. I ordered it for the Claude Challe banner and assumed it was a mix, but was surprised that it was only one group. However, they are great, middle-eastern and really "kicky" with a world and electronic flavor. The music is great for dancing. Love it.

Deceptive Title
This CD is by the R.E.G. Project, this is NOT a Claude Challe CD. This is basically a way to cash in on his name by saying Claude Challe presents. He's not even the producer on the record. That being said, the CD is actually pretty good. A bit amateurish here and there, but it doesn't detract from the overall vibe.
I give it four stars.

ok, but a little too artificial
Be forewarned - this is not an album where the music is done by Claude Challe, or a DJ mix album ala "Buddha Bar." It is an album by a band called the "R.E.G. Project" that has slapped Claude Challe's name on there to boost sales (hey, it worked!) This albumfeels a little too "indy" or amateurish. The samples are reminiscent of early 90s, and the instruments are a little too artificial. But that aspect of the production quality is really the only problem. This is like the type of CD you buy at some independent performers live show. While it could have been better, I do not regret buying the album. It is different enough, and still enjoyable.
