This DVD family feature film stars Alexis Bledel, Sir Ben Kingsley, Sissy Spacek, Jonathan Jackson and William Hurt. Fifteen-year-old Winnie Foster (Alexis Bledel) is the beautiful, privileged daughter of the richest man in town. A disagreement with her domineering parents (Amy Irving, Victor Garber) sends Winnie outside the fence that surrounds her pristine house and protects her from the outside world, and into the nearby forbidden woods. Her journey becomes a far greater adventure than she ever anticipated when she meets the Tucks, a family of immortals that live deep in the woods. Parents Angus (William Hurt), Mae (Sissy Spacek), and their sons Miles (Scott Bairstow) and Jesse (Jonathan Jackson), stopped aging more than a century ago after drinking from an enchanted spring, a veritable fountain of youth. With the Tucks, Winnie discovers the freedom lacking in her own small world, and a romance blossoms between the mortal teenager and the immortal Jesse. With the local police searching for the missing Winnie and a mysterious stranger (Ben Kingsley) searching for the Tucks, Winnie must choose between immortality and a life with her new friends, or the life--and inevitable death--of a normal human. One of the best Disney movies I have ever seen, It make's us all reflect on life and how short it is. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

I totally agree with the previous reviewer, this movie is not really aimed to children, probly to young teens and adults. At the end of this movie, you will feel something, the story is very powerful and pulls you right in. As a bonus, the most beautiful acress "Alexis Bledel" (from Gilmore Girls) is in it which was the original reason I bought the DVD. It turned out to be my favourite movies. I would call it a deep fantasy type movie with a fairly dark theme (i.e. death). It was a pleasure to watch all is a top-notch production, acting is excellent, story is as good as it gets and it is an extremely emotional film that will make you think about your life.

This was a very good movie. There are some movies that make you think about your life, and TUCK EVERLASTING is one of those movies. It really is a must-see. But most kids younger than 10 probably wont find much interest in it. It deals with a very powerful theme about living forever, and it's a little scary. This film is definately one you want to check into.
